It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

:) In fairness, when you look at some of the F1 cars this year, you've got to wonder why the Pope would be fussing about F1 at all....

My money'd be on the Merc tbh.

Singapore was mint!
Try Valencia/Sepang/Shanghai

I think there has never been an interesting race in any of those places, although it would be unfair to condemn Valencia so quickly..

Sepang isn't that bad, I'm not averse to it being on the calendar, but Shanghai is a piece of fuckin @#$%&.

Is anybody turning up the Sepang race anymore though? I heard they were getting woeful crowds there now. There's no point having a race in a country that isn't interested in it, especially when F1 is constantly humming and hawing over whether to leave Britain off the calendar.

i think malaysia has been getting better crowds (at least in relative terms) than china, but i'm not 100% sure.

Like I have said so many times, Bahrain (annoying hard braking zones)/Sepang (annoying first corners)/Valencia (long boring straights/scenery stinks)/Singapore (bumpy/night racing stinks)/Shanghai (long boring straight/bumpy/annoying first corners) must go. crappy tracks, they suck bigtime from both drivers and spectators points of view.

I could write a bible about why these tracks sucks but you guys prefer to get rid of better, entertaining tracks like Hungary and Barcelona than these tracks above. Go figure.

At least New Hockenheim is better than the Old boring-kenheim. 300 kph down these looooong straights? I have had enough with Shanghai and Fuji. Drivers and spectators could even sleep down these straights and still wake up on time to do the next corner...

Old Hockenheim was better, not very difficult to drive but more emotive, did you see 80s races? The winner was very often the one who take a lot of care of the car, it was that or your turbo will BOOM!

I know and I remember, but this is not how it works in todays F1. It would just be boring.

But in all fairness Bruno, compared to Valencia and Sepang, Singapore is absolutely fun to watch. I mean the sparks around Turn 7 seven we haven't seen those in ages!

These sparks are a bad thing. It means you are bottoming out, thus hindering your speed.

And these bumps can unbalance your car and send you in a wall. Its just not a good thing. The track is unsafe, the pitlane entry is a joke!

If you want to see races on a simple, flat track, why don't you watch drag racing?

We want tracks on which drivers can make mistakes, since that spices things up. You want to see a boring parade. I want to see some action. If I want to see a boring parade, I'll go watch some ants.

Because drag racing is way more boring.

You do not need a faulty and bumpy track to see some action or drivers doing mistakes. You need proper formula one cars and rules for this to happen.

And you say Valencia and Singapore WASNT a boring parade? hell it was, I had even slept during both GPs! Ask the "Trulli Train"!

I have NEVER said Valencia wasn't a boring race. Don't put words in my mouth.

Singapore indeed wasn't a boring parade. The crash of Piquet spiced things up even more. We had a lot of different leaders and an unexpected winner.

There was more overtaking on lap 1 of Singapore than in a decade at Barcelona and Hungary put together. It rocked, and will probably rock more with slicks this year.

Because of the crash, which was caused by a bump in a crap and unsafe track.

Otherwise if he hadnt hit the bump it was going to be a procession. And the crappy old safety car rules helped too.

LMAO... where? I did not saw any overtaking @ Singapore that wasnt under safety car and pit stops periods. Singapore both track and city just sucks.
