So how was imola allowed to host the GPs in 2006? :s

the track was up to standard in 2006, but after the redevelopments since then, there must have been another evaluation, and the track was given the 'Grade 2' rating.

anyway, hopefully some of the teams test there again one day

Imola has been upgraded to a Grade 1T for the time being to allow F1 Tests there and they are working on getting a full Grade 1 soon

There are many cicuits in the FIA GT championship that are Grade 2 and could be Grade 1 without problems... brno for example I think

Maybe to be Grade 1 these days, the circuit has to be located outside Europe :p
