i believe i do but i have to admit that it´s meaning could vary from country to country. i have to add that at least here in germany cheering for countrymen/women in sports is also a part of the meaning of patriotism. for sure this is not the original meaning of the word but it is (in germany) also used in this context. this might be caused by the fact that there are not many histoical events in recent history (20 th century) a german could be proud of. so as i said patriotism in germany is mainly condensated onto the activity of supporting teams or single persons in sports.
i have to admit that i know that for example in the usa it is different and i wasn´t aware of the fact that this post could lead to a lot of missunderstanding.

Hamilton? I count 1 negative comment during or after the race today about him and that was from a low-life Ferrari fan-boy, and that's been it. It's hardly as if the world has crumbled, is it?

He got less points than his team-mate, and was on a better strategy.

You wanted him to be @#$%& at defending. OK. As fan-boys go, you're quite... different.

What would you say if Massa won the title?

What if he won it luckily, with Hamilton having a couple of retirements (like Massa)? Would it be a bit like Piquet lucking into a podium?

I fully expect Hamilton to win the title. He's got the better car, and all things being equal, would have won today (Massa's start won it), but Massa put on one hell of a drive... how you can see a negative in that astounds me.

For the record, I'm a Brit, and can't stand Hamilton. I think he's a complete prick to be honest. I love his mentality on-track (a very Senna-esque way of going about things...) - he's aggresive and pushy, but frankly he's a twat. He's also not capable of carrying out what he attempts unless he's in the best car.

Hmm, personally, I thought they were particularly bad.

I wouldn't normally do this, but meh, I'm bored:

ITV warning (comments from another forum for the sake of it):
"GET OUT OF THE MCLAREN GARAGE AND GO AND TALK ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE!!!"
"Senna mentioned already. lol"
"The only good bit about this is its nice to see Damon again."
"Why has Ted Kravitz not been fired yet? He's absolutely rubbish."
"Theres your air of invincibility James Allen, I wish you'd stfu."
"Classic JA quote a few minutes ago - "If Kimi can get past Alonso, he may be able to progress". ORLY"
"God listen to Allen, hes totally trying to justify the lack of Hamiltons "air of invincibility""
"Can someone hold Fathead down for me, while I jump on his head."
"OH MY GOD STOP SAYING AIR OF INVINCIBILITY!!!!"
"Makes a change from mentioning Senna every 2 minutes I guess."
"Oh man how dense is Allen. Its NOW 4.3 secs you dimwit!!!"
"HAHAHA listen to him :D now over correcting :D"
"LOL @ James Allen there. "LH is ON THE MOVE!" then immediately as he says that Massa increases his gap by about .4sec."
"Can't wait for BBC coverage. If they employ allan i might demand the refund my TV license."
"ARGGHGHHHH AIR OF INVINCIBILITY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Air of invincibility... Why? Stop saying it!"
"Can someone enquire about James Allens lack of sensible commentary?"
"Boom wheres the air of invincibility now!!!"
"It looks like he's got some dirt on that front left tyre" - "I think it might be a puncture - "IT IS, OMG IT'S A PUNCTURE!!!"
"Go Go Messiah™"
"Senna-esque performance by Hamilton."
"God now James is trying to defend Hamilton."
"Pendulum swung to Ferrari? FERRARI WERE LEADING YOU MUPPET!"

One post that just made me laugh:
"Somebody got overexcited all over Bourdais car"

Couple of things they never even noticed:
- Glock's ridiculously long first stop with the refuel hose having to be swapped
- Trulli pitting with them claiming it was Glock's 3rd stop (despite him being on a 2-stop strategy) with Trulli's name on the caption...

congratulations to heikki, it was about time he had some good luck.

incredible race today from massa. i was extremely gutted when he retired, he deserved the win with a performance like that, easily the best of his career. hopefully however, he still gains confidence and this could be the turning point of his career. to be able to match mclaren on a track where no-one gave him a chance needed a supreme effort and he couldn't have done better.

also, superb driving by timo glock. he has been steadily improving all year, with 4th at canada, and he would have scored in hockenheim before his crash. i was looking forward to see him get his first good result, and i think he can become a great driver in the next few years!

Kimi did well considering he was fueled 4 laps heavier than massa and made mistake in quali.
I think once he has quali sorted he will be alright. Also there are some of Kimi's good tracks coming like Spa,Monza, Japan and china.

In the end its the points that count and Kimi is beating Massa at this stage even if its due to massa's bad luck. Kimi has had his fair share too.

BMW just weren't there today, sadly. Qualifing wrecked it for Heidfeld. I don't know what happend in the first pitstop for Kubica, but after that we were very quiet and very lucky to get a point.

That made my day, Gav. This is just too hilarious! ;)

Was not a bad race, better than I thought.
Massa's start and whole race really was 11/10. Top notch and so far I dont think ive ever been able to say that about him. So unlucky though :(

Heikki, a lucky win, but then again its about time he had some luck!!!

Piquet's defence on Trulli was I thought not too shabby, he kept the posistion and Trulli didnt appear bothered that they touched. Rather than Pussying out he stuck at it, made it harder than it should have been but I guess recovered, so not all bad. Clealy improvment over the last races he's done.

Glock was sensational! Cracking drive.

Kimi was ermm well shite to be honest. A lucky 3rd and at least something from a bad weekend.

Rubens had massive problems, for the first time in ages Button lapped him, in the same car! Button messed up his race from the go afer loosing places to DC and Nick, which was a great shame because his pace was not too bad and an improvment :)

DC did well I thought, was quite pleased about him :) but did look like all RedBull cars struggled

BMW struggled alot and now appears Toyota are ahead of them! Not sure about Renault just yet, but Toyota for the first time sine 2005 look like a real GP with real potential. With two great drivers I hope alot could come, and next year with slicks I am excited for Trulli :D.

Who would have thought pre-season that Williams would be battling Force Indias... Is that Williams just lacking development or Force India improving?

But yeah Massa and Glock two sensational drives and Massa deserved that win. I was gutted to see that Ferrari blow, and its not often id say that, normally I'd probably have a reaction similar to Pauls :p

I found it funny the way JA sounded when he made an obvious observation

it was something like 'Kimi just turning in there'

....... well of course he is!

I can just see the resemblence between you and Massa and Barrichello (your version of them that is). According to you, Massa and Barrichello blame everything, other than themselves. Let's see how YOU look at things:

[www.grandprixgames.org] First sentence.

[www.grandprixgames.org] About Schumacher having 7 titles: It's the car!

[www.grandprixgames.org] Piquet should've been in front of Alonso, but he isn't because of the car!

[www.grandprixgames.org] Poor Bruno Senna. iSport @#$%& up his setup! Again, that stupid car @#$%& up Bruninhos heros race!

That cheeky bastard of a Ross Brawn completely destroyed JBs race!

That cheeky bastard of a Ross Brawn completely destroyed JBs race!

That cheeky bastard of a Ross Brawn completely destroyed JBs race!

That cheeky bastard of a Ross Brawn completely destroyed JBs race!

Stupid car, stupid gearbox!

Honda are full of twats! The main reason JB still isn't WDC. Also notice that Bruno himself admits that JBs win was LUCKY

Oh no! Jense will be longer in that shitbox Honda! Another reason why he won't win :(

Bruno blames cheating that Schumacher won titles. Now someone else mentions how Piquet allegedly cheated and his reply: it was a rumour spreaded by bad losers, they can't prove anything!

The car's so bad that it made Piquet crash!

I honestly can't imagine there's nothng in this posts that blames something else for problems Piquet or JB had.

The above is just the last three months. I bet this is only half, because I didn't check every search result. And I couldn't go any further with this because I started to get depressive.

OK, that's fair enough. Have a look at the thread I've created to discuss this sort of topic. Better than spoiling this thread. I just struggle to respect people who are so centrically supportive.

Ah, yeah. Forgot about their second encounter after the stops. Just to clarify, I meant the move on the first lap.

Last post, yep. Just a bit cheap I thought. Just as bad as him. Stirring for the sake of stirring rather than actually coming back with a constructive comment.
