The thread was already off topic anyway...

Yeah, you're right...

Still bad weather forecast for tomorrow and Sunday...it would be interesting to have the first wet race in Monaco now without TC.

Sorry about this but Bruninho how the hell can you say that about Conway in GP2 and say good things about Piquet in F1. They guy has been on the pace in GP2 with no testing.

Conway got punted off in Monaco by a lapped car get it right. Maybe he needed ti hit the wall and knock his rear wing off to get your praise :)

"Conway lost a well deserved third on the last lap when he was tapped into a spin at the chicane by Javier Villa, who was a lap down after the earlier melee."

Sorry about that guys had to get it off my chest.

If it rains I hope the drivers dont say its to bad to run. It really does look like it will rain on Sunday. I am not going off topic again.

Argh, you guys are too picky about this stuff...it's all in the monaco weekend, so let everyone discuss the Gp2 race too...in the end it affects Formula 1 anyway, cause the champion will end up getting a drive. Besides, we have to talk about something while we wait for saturday ;)

I'm glad to hear Senna won the race today. I couldn't watch it cause it was in and odd hour but I'm happy for him. Now I just hope he can win more races and actually mount a challenge this year. If he can, I could start changing my head about him a bit as so far he is really just a regular driver.

As for F1, a wet race would be interesting. A chance for Kimi to further extend the lead in the championship :)

Ah come on you Yamaha monkey ;)

As Joe rightly said its all part of the weekend and then the champ will also get a drive in F1 so its fun to discuss his prospects in this game :)

Hoping for a Kimi win, but hoping for a Heikki or Lewis win points wise on the fantasy and gridbids games ;)

Was watching the stream. The track was a little damp at the start of the sesion but there was a dry line pretty quick. Then it started raining 1-2 laps before Kovalainen's incident at around halfway through the session. He was coming out of the chicane before Rascasse and the back end went out a bit and the rear-right hit the barrier, similarly to Alonso's accident on Thursday. The tyre was punctured and I'd imagine they want to look at the suspension. He couldn't get back to the pits so the session was red flagged and when it restarted, the track was too wet for dry tyres.

bit of topic:

MONACO (Reuters) - Ferrari's Formula One world champion Kimi Raikkonen paid 200,000 euros (159 thousand pounds) for a 1974 Chevrolet Corvette owned by Hollywood actress Sharon Stone at a Monaco Grand Prix charity auction, organisers said.

The car, stored in Los Angeles and said to have just four miles on the clock, was one of the top lots at a glittering Amber Fashion show in aid of the Elton John Aids Foundation on Friday night.

Indian drinks and aviation billionaire Vijay Mallya, co-owner of the Force India Formula One team, paid 226,000 euros for a concert piano used by Elton John to write his "Songs from the West Coast" album in 2001.

Mallya also donated a one-week cruise on his 95-metre "Indian Empress", one of the largest privately-owned yachts in the world, with that going under the hammer for 375,000 euros to a private bidder.

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, Honda's Jenson Button, Red Bull's Mark Webber and Renault's Nelson Piquet were among drivers modelling a collection designed by Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone's daughter Petra.

The auction, at Monaco's Meridien Beach Plaza hotel, raised almost 1 million euros.

Sunday's race through the streets of the Mediterranean principality is the highlight of Formula One's social calendar, with billionaires, chief executives and movie stars among the celebrity audience.

226.000 for a piano, lol wtf?
