The air box is quite crazy, looks like the engine cover has been moved back and the air box is poking forward.

I like it, it's useless to say it nicer than the ferrari, as it is not possible to make it uglier, but i think the 23 looks better than the 22. The higher nose is nice, i do not miss that bridge at all, and the airbox indeed looks spectacular.

Guess it's slow though, keeping McLaren's two year dip in mind (2002,2004,2006).;)

As 200x cars go, that thing is gorgeous. What a wonderful shape. Kudos on a team for actually removing aerodynamic devices! That said, they'll probably reappear again before Melbourne.

'show cars' are often different than 'race cars'

I was hoping that the car will be presented in orange livery since 2008 marks 40 annyversary that orange was used as Mclaren official colour. I guess they opted for silver because of the fact that it is presented in Germany. It would be nice to see orange livery race at least once a year.

Regarding car itself it looks conservative and predictible apart from that rear mid wing.

We'll soon see, as Heikki is flying to I think it's Jerez for it's first track test.

why have they got that stupid cover on the engine? its pointless to even put an engine pic, it just shows off merc logo. its happening with most modern cars too, in car mags, when they review a car, they show an engine bay pic, and all you see is a huge plastic engine cover. My friend recently bought a C-class merc, we lifted the bonnet and his dad looks at it and says "wheres the engine?"

BMW started doing it some years ago on their M models I believe...

But you nailed it... it just shows off merc logo ;-)

edit - and yeah red, looks like him too!

For now, it's a nice car! But when it arrives in Melbourne, I'm afraid there will be bridges and wings all over the place

Looks gorgeous! Didn't I say that about the MP4-21?

It was good to have the Ferrari and Mclaren first... It sets us up for the disapointment of Toyota ;)

No seriously, I'm betting my student loan on red and white :P

A white car with what looks like a bucket of red paint spilled allover it. A striking resemblance to the (insert F1 Toyota model of choice)..

I like the higher nose!

What's that thing starting at the Mobil1 logo and then going to the rear wheel? It looks like some sort of rope or something.
