Kimi was going to let DLR past when he crashed. He said this himself on BBC.

Read the thread, and stop spamming this one!

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

Kimi was watching his mirrors because he had to let Pedro pass him but then suddenly Liuzzi braked in front of him and there was nothing he could have done anymore.

Great race! Fantastic result by Pedro de La Rosa who has a great shot of racing next year now. I doubt that McLaren will replace him for Paffet after such a great race by him. Congrats to Button as it was a well deserved win by him and Honda.

Now for a few corrections as TV Globo hardly ever gets an information wrong from the paddock:

1) Kimi was distracted looking in the mirror to see where Pedro was. Apparentely the car wasn't so well and he was going to let Pedro pass, but Liuzzi stopped the car to a crawl. Both drivers talked after the race and they were both sorry. Kimi put the blame all on himself, while Liuzzi did so as well.

2) Alonso said he had a driveshaft failure. Briatore said the pitcrew messed up bit time. I tend to believe the latter.

3) Schumacher hit no one on the closing laps. His wheels were finished and the steering wheel started to fail towards the end. So he didn't touch anyone there. Stop blaming the dude so much, heh.

Can we get artificially wet races from now on? Dry sucks ;)

not like the champion we have now that cruise 50 % of the race.

Alonso races when he needs to and does it damn well, unlike Schumacher who is rather clumsy in traffic and when battling with others which he showed on multiple occasions today (With Fissi, Pedro twice & Heidfeld) As for Alonso cruising, thats what anyone with a brain does when leading a race, theres no point risking the car. I seem to remember Schumacher doing a hell of a lot of cruising in years gone by.

The race was fantastic its races like that that make me put up with some of the @#$%& processions we get, it had everything. Fernando was so unlucky after a storming drive but Jenson deserved it too.

ummm... ok, yeah. a bit of a conicedence he won when every other driver that should have and could have won didn't finish. Bare in mind that if jenson had crashed or whatever, De La Rosa would have won. I can't say he won by skill, he won because eveyone else crashed/DNFed.

ms should have used his head he would have got 4th place. And i think some teams would have complained about the tyres anyway as there was not enough thred on them.

In a way i do feel sorry for alonso he drove a very good race as well. This was one race it was better to start out the top 10.

Oh no. So, in other words, Jenson didn't really win?

my opinion is your a big race accident, proberly you wont agree he? Even roberto (alonso fan/ dont like kimi) says it was just a race accident

lol Jeosn won. He drove well. Not 100% on merit today, but he kept it together when others didnt. MS was a cock, Kimi crashed, Alonso was unlucky when his car failed, Honda screwed rubens with an undeeded pit stop early on. Jenson had no problems and kept it together and won. Cant argue with that

I know it was a great Grand Prix full of controversy, but lets keep things clean :)
