MS' first race, bit of an interview:

and a nice clip of MS showing us his mechanics, no idea what he's saying but we rarely see him speaking German so it's good:

Damn, youtube is blocked here at work, but I'll make a top 5 list and you can search for them in youtube :P

#1 Gilles Villeneuve vs Rene Arnoux - Dijon Prenois 1979
THE MOST EXCITING BATTLE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN F1!

#2 Ayrton Senna's Donnington Park 1993 First Lap onboard
SENNA SHOWS HIS CREDENTIALS. NEED I SAY MORE?!

#3 Ayrton Senna vs Nigel Mansell - Monaco 1992
THE BOSS ALSO HAD DEFENSIVE SKILLS!

#4 Mika Hakkinen vs Michael Schumacher - Spa Francorchamps 2000
WTF THEY ARE DOING HERE, OMG, POOR ZONTA, HAHA!!

#5 Jenson Button vs Fernando Alonso - Hockenheim 2004
JENSON MAKES THE HONDA STAR SHINE! SUCK IT ALONSO :)

I still think Alonso was the one doing the shining on that last video, but each to his own...

Youtube is blocked here also, but can you find the video of Nigel Mansel knocking his head after a race, while he was in the back of a truck. I don't remmber where it was, but it was on a street circuit.

Also the Jacarepagua podium, where Mansell cut his hand on the trophy...

But who finished 2nd in that race? Thank you. ;)

"...As the next pit stop sequence unfolded, the B·A·R Honda driver took the lead for the third time on lap 47, coming in for his own third and final stop on lap 50. Button, who rejoined just behind Alonso, was clearly on a charge and on lap 52 had a go at the Renault driver, making it stick through turn six, pulling off a brilliant move for P2. Despite being held up by back-markers and driving one-handed on the straights due to a loose strap on his crash helmet making it difficult to breathe, the British star had pulled out a 6.3 second margin from Alonso by lap 55 and was just 10 seconds off race-leader Michael Schumacher (Ferrari)."

Why do people doubt what he did that day?

Or doubt his racecraft? :P

Hes a clever driver... and if someone behind him is significantly quicker he would try his very hardest to stop him getting past, it wastes fuel, brakes and tyres.. why do that when later in the race you can possible use them for a last lap charge? get it?

He will only defend a posistion hard if he sees something out of it for himself... he doesnt give a @#$%& about the show and rightly so :P haha

Anyway.... I still cant believe that Donnington lap!

Yup you'd think Button might have learnt some defending skills from Alonso there but as he has shown he still can't get to grips with the idea of holding cars behind you.

Brilliant, Schumacher has no reply :p

Yeah chet, its difficult for me to choose one race to be Senna's best race of his career. I'd say Suzuka 1988, but its a close call with Donnington 1993! We have, as far as I can remember:

1. Donnington 1993 (Senna overtakes five cars to take the lead in the first lap)
2. Suzuka 1988 (Senna stalls his McLaren at the start and rejoin the race overtaking +/-14 cars to take the lead from Prost in a lap between 24 or 27)
3. Brazil 1991 (Senna takes the victory with gearbox problems - only one gear working!)
4. Brazil 1993 (Senna shows why he's the rainmaster and dribbles Hill like our football stars)
5. Monaco 1992 (Thrilling five laps to go defending against Mansell)
6. Estoril 1985 (First victory, under heavy rain conditions)
7. Monaco 1984 (Takes an underpowered Toleman-Hart to the 2nd and could have won)
