The BAR simply was'nt fast enough, how come Kimi did'nt win a race in 2004? because the car wasn't upto the job and was slower than ferarri

As b-tone said, Kimi won Spa. Not forgetting Trulli who won in the Renault at Monaco.

That still doesn't mean that Button doesn't have the ability to win.

When will ppl realise that JB is not gonna be Britain's next world champion. That accolade is reserved for Lewis Hamilton. Button is the next Coulthard

wen will ppl learn they can tell the future

and you are making assumptions based on what he says himself... let me explain..

most ppl who hate JB hate him because of comments he makes and not because of
what he does on track.

if u look past your eyes and ears in this case you will realize something. you are judging a driver not on his performance but on what he says.

and if you are judging him on his performance please explain why he will not be a champion.

I don't hate JB, and am not judging him on what he says. I am judging him on his season in F3, where he as beaten by Marc Hynes and Luciano Burti, neither of whom were world class drivers. Whilst I hope I am wrong, I can see Hamilton coming into F1, going to McLaren in his 2nd or 3rd season, and taking the championship not long after

i hate button because of his williams/bar flip-flopping. dont like the way he shoots off his mouth, has yet to win a race in competitive machinery and is generally stuck up and detached from the world.

i dont believe you just sed that!

i really do not have any idea why u sed that! seriously!

lets put it this way... Brundle won more f3 races than Senna.

What you said there just proves you have no evidence what so ever to say JB cant be a champion or what not!

@red_bull

please tell me what competitive machinery is.

Aye, but Brundle never go the breaks. In terms of ability, he was probably the best British driver of the last 25 years. If he had got into a decent team, rather than sticking with Tyrrell for too long, he could have been world champion. However, the drivers to come out of British F3 in recent years have seem to have struggled to be really competitive in F1. Sato, Davidson, Burti, Kiesa, Bruni etc. have tended to look solid, yet unspectacular. I hope JB can win the championship, as I like him as a driver, yet he isn't the best young British driver about.

If Button wants some respect, he should shut up and go to Williams next year. Period.

what i dont get is why evryone moans when a driver holds back and dosnt say anything, yet JB makes comments (that sometimes get twisted by the media) and he gets slaughtered for it!

Coulthard? At this point JB isn't fit to be his pitcrew jackman. Please, another comparison. Button and Brundle maybe.....

It took Mika Hakkinen 7 years and 99 Grands Prix before he won a race, and Jenson hasn't even been in F1 that long yet.

Spa marks Jenson Buttons 98th Grand Prix start (f1-live.com) and he has had better cars than Hakkinen did. Not that I like hakkinen that much, but still.

Jenson has shown driving ability but I don't think he will be champion probably because of his other personality traits, he doesn't seem to want to stay with a team and try and develop a winning car, he's just happy to hop about to what seems the best for the next season. I mean the last guy to win a championship in his first year with a team was Prost in 93, and he was a very talented driver.

Still, Button does need to reign in his ego a bit

whatever...
the matter is:
BAR HONDA will be much more competitive than a Williams Cosworth next season...
and he knows that...
everybody wants to wins... in BAR he may get the chance (Rubens experience will help a lot)...
in Williams, with the crap named Webber in the team he´ll to work a lot more and alone to finish in 3rd hehehehehe
Why frank don´t exchange webber for fisico????
use the money from button contract with BAR to improve the car...
Fisichella and pizzonia for 2006 in williams!!!
Sometimes i think even yoong could be better then webber... i hate him hehehe...

Bottom line i think is have a go at Button when he has the car capable of winning races and he does'nt.

Upto yet he has'nt had the car to win races so he's made the best of what tools he's had.

I agree he's getting more press than he should be, buts thats down to media wanting another british champion, thats not buttons fault.

If any people out there are over rated, its got to be Antony Davidson and Vitantonio Liuzzi.

but he had the second best car last year, yet what i guess were the 3rd and 4th best cars managed wins :|

hmm. so button is great but lacks a good car. well considering these two don't have a car - good , bad or otherwise - its a bit hard to judge isn't it?
button's had 100 races, and done bugger all
