Wahey, my turn this time!

The Turkish Grand Prix's in town, and that means hot-footing it to the plains of Istanbul and one of the quicker circuits on the calendar. 3.3 miles, an average lap in 86 seconds being a good target. Weather's predicted to be very good. Qualifying goes at 12pm Saturday 29th May the race goes at 1pm Sunday 30th May. Buildup for both qualifying and the race on the BBC is 50 minutes before-hand.

Kubica will win this one :P Now more seriously, I'm fearing another Red Bull feast :(

It's Ferrari's 800th GP this weekend. Hopefully the special logo will go in the engine cover's "white box"

And Massa has won at this track 3 times, who's to say he can't do it for a fourth time, now he has a decent car again?

Oh yes, of course, Red Bull :(

Red Bull are obvious certainties in qualifying at least. In terms of race pace, McLaren and Ferrari aren't quite as far behind - so hopefully one of the Ferraris or McLarens can get a demon start and make it a good race.

Even if it is a Red Bull walkover, it will be fascinating to see if Vettel can bounce back against Webber's fantastic momentum.

It will also be an interesting race for Ferrari, and an important test if they have been able to solve their issues on the hard tyres, particularly on Felipe's car. On a track that Felipe has been so good on, if Alonso can beat him, it could be very demoralising. Felipe also has the added confidence of a track that he has done very well at, and from Domenicali's comments that his 2011 place is fairly certain.

You got your wish.

btw, it seems that Red Bull (and Force India) have a F-Duct this weekend as well, which is particularly ominous for the other teams.

Not one of the stronger MS tracks tbh infact he has never won here, I think now they are back to a track MS has not tested on nico will be ahead again.

As for the race I expect RBR to dominate with Mclaren given chase and Alonso up there as well. Only I think Button will be the faster Mclaren driver, Lewis has never been that great here.

Webber has confirmed that Red Bull will be running an F-duct during practice to evaluate its performance.

Red Bull to run F-duct

In more important news, Vettel has christened his new chassis "Randy Mandy".

well i dont agree that this is not a good M.S. track. they only raced twice here while he was compeeting, and in 2005 ferrari had a very ragged car. in 2006 he was the fastest guy all weekend just missed the pole position and spent a whole race behind alonso. so i think it will be interesting to his progress. i will be surprised if he is on the podium but i expect him to be up there with the 2nd bests (right after red bulls, hamilton and alonso. so lets seee; )

ROFL!
And yeah, an f-duct should help them, particularly with the high-speed sections at Istanbul.

Actually I forgot about the saftey car in 2006 messing up his race.

The new Red Bull F-duct is activated by pressing harder on the throttle.

The new Force India F-duct is activated by movement of the ankle.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

If the rbr car uses that system I do not see how that is really driver activated unless it covers a hole which it can not really.

I hope they say how this works as it sounds a bit strange.

With all the other systems the drivers have to do something to cover something, the rbr system just seems that it does not do that and its more to do with something in the car. Not sure if what i am saying makes any sence :)

Hello Moto! ;)
(I realise I'm maybe 4 years behind the times saying that, but... meh. :P)

Macca looking strong so far. This bodes well for them for Canada too, which has a not dissimilar layout to this TBH.
