Oh sheesh, thats a hideous livery change. What an absolute mess.

Too much going on there, and the infiniti just looks slapped on.

Shape-wise, Sauber looks most appealing to me. Real dark horses this year, literally lol. The sidepods look stupidly skinny compared to most others, like its been squeezed. Not even the McLaren looks that tight!

Livery vote goes to Force India still.

Simtek was more of a ribena colour rather than the purple and barbie-pink Brabham which, in my opinion, is one of the most hideous liveries ever seen in F1. It has competition from the 2011 HRT.

Which other liveries do we not get on with?

I have the '94 Simtek on wallpaper rotation. One of my favourite cars, in terms of looks.

Not a fan of that splash of Purple at all. It just looks like they've gone for the 'outer glow' blending option in Photoshop and then maxed-out the 'size' and 'softness' settings. Much prefer the deep blue base colour they've used until now, though I guess if they'd swapped the blue for the purple completely then it would have looked better than the RB9 does.

As for other cars I really didn't like the 1998 or 1999 Williams. That first BAR too, with the zip... clever idea to get around the rules, but I struggled to appreciate its beauty. Didn't like the Schumacher-era Ferrari either. We're still not back to the old Ferrari red, but it's less orange now, and that's the important thing! Good to see some black creeping back in too. As Jim said, there's nothing sexier than the old Ferrari 643.

I liked the Simtek though. Always had a bit of a soft spot for them anyway (probably helped by the tragedy they suffered) and was gutted when they went bust.

I liked the 1999 BAR design, I usually chose it in Formula One 99.

I would like to see the pre-Vodafone McLaren livery come back.

Yeah, that would be one of the Shadows from the late 70s...

Possibly the most horrid livery is the Martini livery on the Lotus 80...ewwww.

Well personally I think that nose is ugly on the Mercedes it just looks stuck-on like a kind of after thought. There is no dimension to it, it just looks like a giant beak .. as for the rest of it, same O same O.

I think BAR really lost out, livery-wise. I think the individual cars at launch looked fantastic; particularly JFV's.

Interesting to see Rosberg sticking to the all yellow helmet, with Hamilton keeping his yellow one aswell. I thought Rosberg might go back to his old blue one (plastered all over my sig and avatar, heh)

The Mercedes looks like they've played it safe and gone for an evolutionary design - not something I can see working out for them. We'll have a better idea once testing's been done though.

Regarding the 1999 BAR, now it's been brought up - I really liked it myself. As said already, it was a smart way of circumventing the livery rules(I was annoyed when they weren't allowed to run the cars in different colours - I liked that idea) and the zip was a nice touch.
(I remember Martin Brundle's comment during Melbourne quali - "It looks like something out of a lingerie catalogue - not that I've got one, Murray!"

BAR was a strange team in general I just remember their cars being these white shapeless things which were there or there abouts without doing anything. Until Button arrived, anyway....

My opinions...

Red Bull - Don't like the nose, what were they thinking with the purple??
Ferrari - Some of the details around the nose keep niggling me...
McLaren - Same old sorts of things...
Lotus - New livery touches are nice, but it just doesn't all fit together for me.
Mercedes - Yuck.
Sauber - IMO the best-looking car of 2013 (barring any Williams miracles)!
Force India - It looks EXACTLY THE SAME (apart from the nose)
Toro Rosso - I like it! Very nice and clean
Caterham - Nice livery, but looks like a repainted CT01
Marussia- *barfs*

Lol dunno how you can like the Lotus and hate the Red Bull. The purple is organic man, it FLOWS. Learn to love it!

Going by Buttons and Massa's comments, I reckon 2013 will be as close as ever. I can't see RBR having an advantage anymore, and Ferrari looked to have done so much work on that car. IMO it is the most different looking car, compared to it's predecessor. That's only a good thing surely?

So far so good for JB. If the car is comfortable from the go then its a positive.
