Yeah, lets hope! yay for more road courses too.

Will the 2009 calender be more of a mix?

Though why only 8 cars :(

Surley all the teams can see its the better option! But anyway

errrrrrrr, right that makes sense, and what a stupid rule in Japan that they can't have a race 6 weeks eitherside of the F1 race, whats the bloody point in that?!

The bloody point in that is to ensure a turnout for both races.

Yeah because an Indy Car race 500 miles away staged over a month after the F1 event will kill attendances, just like what happened when CART and DTM came here...wait...hm

Same day maybe, week pushing it but yeh maybe too, but a month and a half each side is a bit over the top ain't it?

Then you should contact ACCUS and ask them what's going on, wise guy.

I'm happy that they have merged, just pissed because tony george has power. the whole split was his doing, and he refused to merge in the years past all because he lost the power if they merged.

well shall see where this goes. hopefully thye change the name to indycar again, and not IRL.

Cool, this is good news.

Anywhere I can get the updated calender? The website one just has the circles on.

I say bring back the classics: Laguna Seca, Toronto, Vancouver, Detroit, Mid Ohio, Road America, Cleveland. Yah.

Cleveland will no doubt be back. It's one of the important events.

2008 and a few years afterwards will be a transition year. IRL has to let its contracts run its course before they can get more of the CCWS events back in, and they are due new Chassis Regulations 2009-2011.
