you have to install the editor and after this, you have to setup your gp3 location first. Then you can import all files from gp3 with the editor. Now you can change the original bmp's to new ones

Best way is to install GP3Edit in a folder in the main GP3 folder. Then Options, Edit Configuration and type in the location of the GP3.exe file. Most modders start with GP3Edit as it is very easy to use. You can save different car sets and export them to the game any time. There's loads of graphics and stuff in the old archives so have fun. Then you'll get hooked on other tools like GPxPatch, car editor, track editor and the rest. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! hehe

some things that you have to know: that you've got the gp3editor 1.13 doesn't mean that you have installed the official patch 1.13 !! after installing gp3 , you need to install the patch 1.13 first, then you have to download the decrypted gp3 exe 1.13 and overwrite your original gp3 exe. Now you can install the gp3 editor in an empty folder and start it. The next step in gp3 editor is, to locate your gp3 folder with the gp3 exe. If you've done it, simply import all files from the game by clicking on the tab 'Options' in gp3 editor. Now you should be able to change all the things you want. Oh btw, you can find the patch and the decrypted gp3 exe here in the old downloads section ;-)

no, you don't need to uninstall gp3 editor. Install the patch and overwrite your gp3 exe with the decrypted exe. Then locate your new exe in gp3 editor ;-), should be ok then. Btw, do you have msn?

simply install the patch, there's no need to uninstall gp3 editor. But if you've uninstalled the editor already, reinstall it after installing the patch.
