As I wrote Nathan already by PM, I sorry about this and other potential Aussies I might have forgotten. It's just as Stu staid, in this moment it didn't even come to my mind in this very moment that Nathan is Australian, too. And when you have hundreds of other pictures to comment to, you don't go and check every detail. Or at least I didn't in this situation as the coverage was already way more extensive than I actually planned.

Also, having read the coverage once more now, I really have to apologize for all the typos and grammar mistakes. I guess it's obvious that I was awake for 36 hours or so when I wrote it.

Concerning the track I think I have to agree with Stu. The track is great for good racing. I've not often seen so much action on track, especially at the start. But it's also a simple fact that there were lots of AI errors, especially in that curve that I named 'Black Mamba' (don't know the real name of it). And this was despite the reducing of the AI failures. Additionally there was again the phenomenon of drivers who really struggled with their pace. Best example is again JW who struggled a lot at the start and then suddenly was the fastest man on track again for quite a while. Similar things happened to Norbert and me.
So, basically I have the same concerns than I have with Zandvoort. Yes Ruben, I know ;-) Remember, I worse your 'I love Zandvoort' t-shirt.

Anyway, it will be up to the community to decide whether or not they want to have Philip Island back in next season.

Do NOT leave me out ot this!!!!

About the race: good pace once again in the race + good work from the mechanics + no mistakes = 5th pace finish...
Lucky we aren't really at Phillip Island this weekend, the track is flooded! Here's Turn 1;

X (@ed24f1)
Owen Edwards/Glen Sheppard in TNR/Snake Swap

In a bold move, TNR have decided to draft in their young protege Owen Edwards into the number 2 seat for the next three races - and placing Glen Sheppard into the vacant seat Owen had at Snake. Why choose to do this when the championship is already close enough to drop several spots is a mystery - though the obvious points to looking at preparation for next season.

There are absolutely zero hard feelings in shifting Glen; and it has been discussed for many weeks already. The recent events in Australia are a tell tale sign Sheppard's mind is a little preoccupied with his own team, as TNR really need all guns firing over the next few weeks. Edwards hasn't been able to show the talent he clearly has locked away - perhaps his chance with the big guns will bring back the speed he showed on his main seat debut last season.

Rumours that Sheppard is to begin growing a Mansell-esque-moustache continue to escalate as beard enthusiasts speculate an optimum growth date towards the season finale at Silverstone. The year 1994 springs to mind. And the place, Adelaide. Hmmmm.

Wow, even more action as in the race that I've run in the Nations Cup, and I didn't reduce AI errors back then. Nonetheless a great coverage, John.

Yep, we had some pretty relentless rain over the past 24-36 hours here in the Melbourne area. And last weekend in actual real life, the V8Supercars were roaring around the Island! Looks like they got in and out of there just in time!

Congratulations boss! Could have another Copeman in the series soon? ;)

Won't be long until the GPGSL is just full of Copeman's! ;)

I know! Maybe a little while yet before this one can drive though. Loving that new TSS/TSM by the way.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

Nice result by Carlos, this is the result he badly needed. We don't yet know what happened to Rodrigo, but we are looking into that. Hopefully we can keep this form up and by doing that we might be able to get 5th in the constructors championship back. And besides that we have an announcement coming up in the next few days.

About the new TSM car, I think it will take so time for me to get used to, after having the blue TSS livery for many seasons.

And about Philip Island, I think we should not again race there without the track being modified. I counted 11 cars that had a problem in the 'Black Mamba', without even looking at the race again. The CC-line might need some editing to fix that, but without that and a good test we should not return here.
