Apparently if you increase suspension stiffness to max you suddenly gain seconds of time. Somebody's reported doing a lap of Melbourne in 55 seconds!by Rams - Other Games

I have some questions... to be honest this is the only place where you will get an honest answer lol. 1) In practise do the AI cars let you through then immediately hound you (regardless of speed)? 2) Are the practise and qualifying cars actually real (laptime match graphic) 3) Is the tyre wear and fuel more realistic, and actually present for AI? In F12010 the tyres acted quite similarby Rams - Other Games

Is it possible to use my own performance file with your mod?by Rams - Grand Prix 4
I've noticed when you start going over grip values of 18000 the AI suddenly start bunching up in time (depsite the % values staying the same). The Force Indias were 2 seconds off the pace before, now they're within a second of pole. An ideal solution would be to give the AI whatever rocket boost the player has in the physics file...by Rams - Grand Prix 4
Hmmm these seem to give the player a huge advantage? I increased the AI grip to 17500, gave myself 710bhp when most have more, yet I'm still a second a lap faster at Melbourne? I also rocket off the line compared to the AI which never used to happen (TC + LC off)by Rams - Grand Prix 4

Guys, I already posted the correct answer ... the real tyre wear value is "AI Race performance".by Rams - Grand Prix 4
The actual tyre wear value is "AI Race Performance" in TSM As it happens, the "natural" tyre wear in GP4 is actually quite close to the Pirellis anyhowby Rams - Grand Prix 4
Has anyone else noticed that it seems to rain a lot more than it really should - I think I've found out why. I noticed on my monitor that P2 had only a 30% or so chance of rain yet the little symbol representing the weather showed a little cloud with rain instead of sun. I believe that the percentage chance of rain isn't really that at all, but the percentage of the session thatby Rams - Other Games

It depends if they've got Rocket Mode engaged or not. I was running around 12th in China at the start of a 50% race with Fuel and Tyre sim on. I was doing low 42s on primes, Sutil behind me doing late 42s and Webber the leader doing mid 38s (despite pole being a 37, but that's another issue). This went on for the first 5 laps or so. I started going a bit quicker into the 41s andby Rams - Other Games
Just gave it a quick go with a wet race at Catalunya... hear are my thoughts: Positive: - The graphics are much better and suprisingly the frame rate too - The AI cars no longer rockets off the start line - The AI behind you seem more patient, instead of just ramming you off they wait for an opening. Negative - For some bizarre reason they've added an extra digit to the speedomby Rams - Other Games
I think the aforementioned rubber-banding works solely by increasing the bhp of the AI cars... you could try deleting catchup.xml but tbh I think it runs deeper than that!by Rams - Other Games

The race AI isn't fake (apparently!) just qual and practice. The general AI standard is utterly broken but this just adds another level of frustration. Although having said that I leave it on and damage too because that's where the real challenge of this game lies - trying to win with the AI cheating and several random punctures along the way :Pby Rams - Other Games

Apparently after the patch primes are showing as options (green stripe) and vice versa lolby Rams - Other Games
Someone on the CM forum has done a test with AI fuel consumption and tyre wear, which proves that basically there isn't any. The race time was almost exactly the same with them switched on and off. This was previously denied by CM. It's not on the changelistby Rams - Other Games
