I tried changing the resolution in f1graphics.cfg to 1680x1050 but it wouldn't let me... is there anyway this can be changed?by Rams - Grand Prix 4
What I don't understand is how some settings can make the PO go through the roof on a high end machine... surely a GeForce 7900GTX (already a little ahead of its time) should be able to handle everything a 4 year old game can throw at it?!by Rams - Grand Prix 4
I've just updated my nForce and graphics drivers, but still can only run with 35fps The PO is about 90-110% in "stressful" situations like that start.by Rams - Grand Prix 4

I was wondering if it would be possible to change the colours of the sector times in the laptimes chart to match that of the real life Formula one live timing screens, so it's easier to pick out important information. So normal sectors would be the default white, personal bests are green and fastest sectors are purple. Could GPx be made to do this? Thanksby Rams - Grand Prix 4
Here is what I mean... Also note that I have tried changing it to the other types, but the problem persistsby Rams - Grand Prix 4
Right, thanks for the suggestions I've aleady checked the performance file to make sure the 0's and 1's are in the right place, so it's not that. Is there a specific tyre shape for each car? Because I'm thinking that the McLaren tyre shape will only read one tyre texture ( the "McLaren" texture aka bridgestone) and not switch between the 2 types, as instruby Rams - Grand Prix 4
Ok, this is a bit crazy... I have an Athlon Dual core 64 processor (about 2Ghz), 2 GB of RAM and a Geforce 7900 GTX yet I still can't run GP4 with everything turned up. I have the frame rate around 35, and I tried to turn on far away buildings through f1graphics but the PO went through the roof, to well over 100%. I've also only got "trackside objects" enabled in what canby Rams - Grand Prix 4
No matter what I do McLaren always seem to end up on Bridgestone tyres... I've double checked and rechecked the performance file, but to no avail. I noticed something interesting in Team Editor... when selecting the tyre brand for McLaren there are 3 options, Michelin, Bridgestone and "McLaren" tyres 0_o Could anyone help me here? Thanks.by Rams - Grand Prix 4

Actually I do, but I don't know what to do. Someone said you have to use tex resizer?by Rams - Grand Prix 4
Could anyone tell me how to install TGA files appropriately? I know all about cars.wad as I can update cars just fine, but not helmets I've got GP4 Master, do you have to downsize the resolution of the textures that come as default? Thanks!by Rams - Grand Prix 4
As far as I know, hard tyres are slower over the first few laps but are more durable.by Rams - Grand Prix 4
Yeah that's good... anyone else any actual advice?by Rams - Grand Prix 4

Thanks for the replys guys. I did use the Tex downsample thing in GP4 Master for resizing textures 1-3, is this what you mean? Or resizing texture 0, the main texture? I couldn't find that option in f1graphics.cfg, I'd be grateful if you could point it out to me. Also, I don't understand why someone would release helmet textures if you couldn't just put them strtaightby Rams - Grand Prix 4
Hi I'm trying to install Hagi's 2005 Helmets in my game (2006 season, obviously some will be wrong). Annoyingly, they come in TGA's so I've been using GP4 Master to convert them to TEXs. Now when I load up the relevant TEX (such as driver1_1), it seems to come up correctly (in this case Alonso). I've also installed Arai's helmet shape as it advised me to do. Bby Rams - Grand Prix 4
Whenever I change the positions of the various things within Team Editor such as the T-Cam etc it never exports properly to the game even though it says it has. Someone informed me that there is a conflict with GP4 Tweaker, because GP4 always ignores Team Editor if you've used the Tweaker. Is there any way to make GP4 ignore Tweaker and implement the Team Editor changes without having to uby Rams - Grand Prix 4

I've tried updating a few cars but keep getting white textures. Could anyone explain why this happens? Thanksby Rams - Grand Prix 4
