Thanks for the outstanding 1989 carset-nice to see some good GP3 addons still about and hopefully still to come. It's especially good with your 90 cockpit.Had some probs at first but used the cockpit ed to turn the text off and minimize the size of the black boxes. Just trying to get rid of a couple at the bottom now but can't find what they are.(Not too bothered as they are hidden by t

Grand Prix 3 Of course, there is the car texture import/export option for moving skins around in GP4 master but it can't handle cockpits yet which is why I use the same method each time. Does anyone know if this texture import/export option automatically downsamples everything to the tex file as it appears to be a quicker option purely for skins.

Grand Prix 4 Eh? The tips I supplied for GP4 master don't offer any performance changes but just allow you to use better car skins with the lower settings enabled. If these tips have speeded you up Mortal then all the better

Grand Prix 4 Well, just used the same technique on the three other cars made by Ralph and it works like a dream. For those of you running slowly with all details on - I like fancy graphics too - give it a try, you'll notice a huge difference in perforance with minimal graphic loss!

Grand Prix 4 Yup, I prefer using the GP3 editors too - much more user friendly. But as you wanted a tutorial on using Ralph's cars in 16 bit here goes.
1. Edit the line underneath in the f1graphics.cfg to a value of 0, then save changes
Enable 32bit mode if available NB. If Windowed then is forced to desktop format
Just out of interest, run GP4 and see if you have a speed increase. With only this one

Grand Prix 4 System: P111 1Ghz. Graphics Card: G-Force2GTS 32MB(Det 30.30). 128MB RAM. Windows Me.
After reading this thought I must try it as I'm sick of hi-res snail racing. Prior to any editing I had all details set at top end. GP4 looked brilliant but was far too slow. All I have done initially using the above advice is changed the line mentioned in the f1graphics.cfg file and what a difference in s

Grand Prix 3 UV light is called "black light" because you can't actually see it. It's used for crack detection in Non Destrutive Testing techniques. To highlight a crack, a fluorescent paint is applied to the suspect area and allowed to soak. The exces paint is wiped away then a developer spray applied. Then UV light is shone over the area and any cracks "glow". There, science bi

Off-Topic Wow - Track looks great! Have you included the skating girls anywhere? Or made a carshape like them? When the track is used for CART, are there any differences in the corners etc? For your information, your F1 tracks are the only ones I have kept the two versions of because they are so good. With the other tracks about I tend only to keep the best version in my GP3 folder whether it's 2000,

Grand Prix 3 Ensure your GP3 is patched to 1.13 level first. Most downloaded tracks contain the magic data already. Then, as Larry says, these tracks will work in any slot.

Grand Prix 3 Any news yet? been looking forward to seeing your work on the site and...........zip! Especially as there seems to be so little for GP3 these days. How about a preview?

Grand Prix 3 Firstly, back up your gp3sound.dat file. Then using the sound editor from Damien Legros, open up the gp3sound.dat file you want to edit. Usually, the .wav files come numbered. Simply re-emplace the numbered sound in the editor with your new .wav files then save the new gp3sound.dat file. Hope this is some help.

Grand Prix 3 Exactly mate! I split with my wife last year so you are right, I don't have to watch them any more. I was overdosing on the bloody things. Biggest load of sh~*e going! If England(Fat chance!) had got to the World Cup Final, and it ran late, could you see the same thing happening??

I get even more pissed off when the screen is reduced to allow the "Coronation Street follows after this program" subtitle to scroll along! Then the bastard adverts Aaaargh!! Grand Prix 3 Make sure you have the file Yardbrk5.jip in Gp3jams/Mel3jam instead of in with the hardware jams in Gp3jamsh/Mel3jam. Have had similar problems with other tracks, due to me not reaing the readme files. Too eager!

Grand Prix 3 Aaargh I'm back home! Time for drying out and dial-someones-sis! Sorry I didn't answer your earlier questions Vader, but it was just a spur of the moment job in an internet cafe/pub. Favourite beer is Krombacher, but we were mostly drinking Konig and Detmolder. Unfortunately, Warsteiner plays havoc with my internal organs from brain to bowels, but tastes great! Grand Prix 3 Phew! Thought I was going to have to respond to Andrew's challenge! Would love to be good enough with the track editor to do conversion work, however I'm not! I've plenty of photo's from Croft of various race meetings(F3,BTCC,etc...), so if any background is needed feel free to ask. As for conversion of tracks, I'd love to see a good Donington park. Grand Prix 3 If you want large vector graphics of most F1 sponsors, there are 2 very good sites:
1/ www. logotypes.ru
2/ www.logo.nino.ru
With these logos you can cut/shape/size to whatever you like with very little loss in quality.

Grand Prix 3 Bojan Tarticchio has released a partial 1991 carset over on his site. It's the unfinished set which was being worked on by the Skunkworks team. Although not complete it is rather nice. Also, while at his site, it's worth downloading his 2002 cars. These are probably the nicest cars I've seen, a lot of work getting them spot on and designed for GP3v1.13! The link: www.grandprixgamer

Grand Prix 3 Okay, you've answered your own question. It really is simple from here on. Use the save as option with the pitcrew .bmp files and load back into correct slots, remembering to save the changes to carset.gp3 file. Then export the corrected crews as required(or the whole set).
