I'm all for celebrating Valentine's day, and I don't even mind all the commerical crap that accompanies it. Heck, if I were in business, I'd be trying to cash in on any opportunity I could, so why shouldn't card companies, etc do the same? However, what I really cannot stand is self-righteous single people who get on their soapbox around this time every year and preachby Locke Cole - Off-Topic

*sigh* My anime gaming childhood memories seem to be too tainted for the other forumers here to cope with, so I've taken the image down. I honestly can't understand some people. It's a computer game! It's not what happens in real life.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
I like it. The new corners don't seem to add anything, but then they haven't taken much away from the old layout so it's not great loss. I always thought that Club/Vale/Abbey was horribly dull after the 1994 changes anyhow.by Locke Cole - F1
Hey would-be daters, another gem of advice coming up. Any e-mail containing the line: "You might not be my type, but let's chat and see what happens" seems to elicit a very favourable response. I'm not gonna attempt to figure out the psychology behind that one - could someone with a girlfriend ask them and let us all know? lolby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
It looks about as effective as anything else designed by Mike Gascoyne. Six F1 teams clearly believe that there is aerodynamic advantage to having a shark fin on the engine cover, and Lotus run without one. Does that mean the six teams are wrong...? Unlikely.by Locke Cole - F1
lol... once again, putting a singer/TV judge/charity ambassador in the same category as Jade "Am I Minging?" Goody, is an unbalanced comparison. But let's just say that I prefer sausage rolls and leave it at that.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
I hardly think Cheryl Cole is a Z-list celebrity in the same way as Katie Price or Kerry Katona. Either of them would give their left arm to be recognised as a role-model for young girls in the same way that Cheryl is. To be honest, I still prefer sausage rolls... they're both alright to look at, but sausage rolls don't talk with a Scouse accent.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Badoer wasa very credible lower-team driver for many years. Being so rubbish at Ferrari unfairly threw him into the limelight. Marques was another driver who was pretty good, but only ever drove for Minardi. When his team-mates were Katayama and Alonso, two very highly rated drivers, you can't really criticise him for failing to beat them. Indeed, he beat Katayama on several occasions. Those 'top ten' are clearly written by someone with recent F1 knowledge, but very little historical knowledge. And even with this hefty criticism being levelled at the author, he STILL managed to miss Riccardo Rosset!by Locke Cole - F1
Yikes, the ethics committee have arrived in the midst of a scientific experiement. The two cannot exist simultaneously. OK, new plan specially for you people. I will continue my communications with the 'nice girls' to see whether online dating can, in fact, lead anywhere. ... but what about the 'webcam girls' who mailed me back? Surely nobody would have an issue with meby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Yep, everyone's bored of the Beckhams now so it's time to move on to the Coles. The pattern of their relationship and rise to fame is actually remarkably similar... although AFAIK David never cheated on Victoria...by Locke Cole - Off-Topic
OK, so I've now made contact with some real people. I've got 18 e-mails waiting in my inbox from girls who have responded to my initial mail. What to do next? First off, put up the shields (the "heavy veil of cynicism" and sift through the profiles of the girls who "sent" them. Three mails did not mention what I had written at all, and asked me if I wanted to joinby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
Part 3 - Making contact I have to say, the readership deteriorated massively after the first week. Perhaps I simply didn't make it interesting enough. Ah well, here's hoping that this week I'm back on form, because I'm tackling the most exciting part of online dating: making contact with another Human being. This term is used loosely, of course, but let's assume for nby Locke Cole - Off-Topic

Every time I see that Virgin Racing car, I keep expecting to see 'Superfund' scrawled across the nosecone. :s Which team had that...? I think it was Minardi. This one looks very similar.by Locke Cole - F1

Force India will be on the grid. IMHO the most likely outcome is that they will be heavily fined and will race under appeal for the season until the accounts are correctly logged, but I don't believe they will be 'wound up' for it. My reasoning is economic, and there are plenty of precedents here in the UK to follow on such matters. Firstly, Force India have invested a lot of moby Locke Cole - F1
Over the last week, I have been sending e-mails from two profiles to several different girls. I "borrowed" a mate's facebook pics (it's not illegal, after all) to create a fake profile, and for experimentation processes, have been sending out two different types of mail. One is a standard "nice" wishy-washy mail, and the other is a tongue-in-cheek obnoxious mail in tby Locke Cole - Off-Topic
I'm of the opinion that women should carry a device with a light-sensor attached, which automatically restricts them from operating their vocal cords in areas of low light. When the lights go out, the conversation stops. Just do what you gotta do, then let me get some sleep.by Locke Cole - Off-Topic

Yes but we no longer have the weird 2-point gap between 8th and 9th that we had in the last system, that was out of sequence. I don't give two hoots whether it's 'equivalent to old money' or not, so long as it's a logical distribution. IMHO the previous proposal wasn't at all logical, whereas this one seems much more so.by Locke Cole - F1
I might be presuming things here, but I wonder if Virgin actually realised that their car would look orange under natural light? lol - their corporate colours are red and white! We could well see the livery updated somewhat before the first race.by Locke Cole - F1
If Senna gets a drive elsewhere, I've no objections to Stefan replacing Campos.by Locke Cole - F1
Oh.... I think I just fell in love. The front wing looks much flatter than others that have been launched. But that's the only bit of the car that seems under-developed (wrong word?) compared to other cars that have launched so far.by Locke Cole - F1
