First of all, what's your budget?
In terms of general GP4 notes, the game is more dependant on a good CPU than graphics card, that doesn't mean you need to skimp out on the GPU though!
I'm currently running an i7 920 @3.6ghz, 6gb ddr3 ram, and 2x gtx 280's in SLI.
Not exactly the latest tech, but enough to play the game at the highest settings, but there are a lot of

Grand Prix 4 So i think i've managed to come to the bottom of this, not completely fixed but still better than nothing.
With my previous OS upgrade from xp to vista, i was able to simply just copy the GP4 folder, change compatibilty and run the game.
Not in this case.
I ran my current GP4 installation, (working perfectly in vista) and it kept crashing.
So i changed the graphics to run in wind

Will do when i get home, hope it solves the issue, that's been the only downside for me so far in Windows 8, not being able to play my beloved GP4!

I've tried changing the resolution in the graphics cfg, but no change
@bigbrother
I actually really like it!
Takes some getting used to, but i'm loving the experience so far.
@phantaman
Let me know how you get on, i hope i'm not the only Windows 8 user here haha
@Lo2k
I'll try changing settings on my graphics card.
Come to think of it, i didn't

Grand Prix 4 I think it's a good idea.
I haven't followed GP4 for a while, but i do always remember the negativity when cars have been included in mods, and people complaining about permissions etc, which meant mods weren't released and always an argument which made the community split.
But i'm all for sharing
Sharing is caring, and can only help our little community to still lov

Grand Prix 4 I think it's because you're using the old car shapes.
If you updated them to real 2012 specs, people would be more interested.
But keep going and learning how to mod, it can only be good for the community

Grand Prix 4 Just tried it out.
The bumpy dat is too bumpy.
Turn 6, which is flat out, spins you out.
I'd recommend using the flat dat.
It's a great track though!
Need to work on the setup as im getting some understeer on the exit of corners.

Grand Prix 4 From BBC:
"Armed attackers have targeted British Formula One driver Jenson Button in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, his McLaren racing team have confirmed.
His car was attacked, but Button was unhurt, McLaren said.
Button had been in practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos, and will start 11th on the grid.

F1 Yeah, the gaps would have stayed constant because of the set delta times.
The only question is where Alonso lost the 5 seconds (not the 3 second delayed pitstop)
My guess is that Lewis and Massa didn't really need to slow down that much as they might have been i sector 3 when the SC came out, and the deltas may not have been set as they pushed for the pits, where Alonso and Vettel had

F1 The thing is, Hamilton had a 6 second lead over Massa. (got the initial times wrong, i counted wrong, so i said 8 initially)
Alonso came out 3 seconds behind Hamilton, so he would have had a 3 second lead over Massa anyway.
Alonso lost 3 seconds in the pit, if he had a good pitstop, he would have come out neck and neck with Lewis.
So it's safe to say, he lost a total of 5 seconds on

F1 Pure lies.
On lap 31, Massa was 11 seconds behind Alonso when the safety car came out.
Massa pits, and his total time was 24 seconds, Alonso pits a lap later with a total time of 27.6 seconds.
Alonso was 5 seconds in front of Hamiton on lap 31, and by my reckoning, came out 3 seconds behind Hamilton after his pitstop.
Hamilton, was 8 seconds ahead of Massa on lap 31, so it's natu
