On F1.com it mentions that the cars now have to pass all crash tests before they start testing. That might extend launch dates?

F1 Brundle's very quick with cheeky comments that have a point!
Unfortunately Schumacher might end up, if not already, with as much of a reputation for pointless midfield, blooper shenanigans as he already has for blatant attempts at banging whole championships.
You can take the driver out of a car, but you can't take the mentality out of the driver...but not with the success he

F1 And if Vettel doesn't stream away at the front again, we should be in for a cracking race, with a good chance of rain to boot. I know Q1 was interrupted, but there could be a question mark over both Red Bulls on the hard tyres? Webber was lucky to get to Q2.

F1 Like I posted 27/3, like Brundle said as you've quoted. So what is The Age on about? Bleary eyes through corporate box windows perhaps. See a driver pull up short after the finish line and think engine failure.
Webber will be hellishly motivated for Sepang, even if it's not his happiest hunting ground.

I don't entirely trust mainstream Australian F1 media. The Age reported smoke coming from Webber's engine as he parked at the finish. I don't recall seeing it.

F1 Danm, "Girl Living Expenses" doesn't bode well as a title for your argument and you would have done better by starting with "I and my partner are buying our first house."
Don't know you or your beloved, but maybe she's asking 'how much do you love me?, or, no matter the income differential, 'how much are you committed to this relationship?' You

There didn't seem anything wrong with the car apart from brake dust spurting so maybe they wanted him to stop close to the pits rather than end up a few kms away?

F1 Vettel virtually had the thing won by turn two. 2.4 sec lead after the first lap. Beautiful drive. The pass on Button after the first stop was great stuff.
Have to disagree with you Chet, Button's penalty was deserved. He hadn't completed the pass. Even he though he wisely took the escape road to avoid contact, he didn't give the position back.
I'm a little intrigued as

F1 And what caused Kobayashi's engine cover to fly off?
May have been a psychological show boat lap from Webber at the end but it bodes well all the same.

At last, after one of the best seasons in recent memory, the challenge begins afresh. With a new tyre supplier, a mix of modern and retro liveries and new additions to the driver line-up to chase the usual suspects, five world champions, no less, the F1 whirlwind is descending on Melbourne.
Commiserations to Bahrain (and Robert Kubica), but I'm glad the new season kicks off in Melbo

F1 Found ARTicle from Wired.com Red Bull Part Of The Team
"Formula 1 cars are marvels of engineering and, to our eye, stunning works of art. Any single part on a car like the Red Bull RB6 would look right at home in the MoMA, and now you can put one in your living room."

Off-Topic An update. The Australian Federal Government has today committed to supporting Avalon airport becoming an international flight destination, which you'd think is essential if there's any chance of an Avalon race track being built.
The announcement depends on the Australian Labor Party winning the Federal election on 21/8. Funny how elections get things moving.

Off-Topic Great post Jim. A cracking race it was.
I hope Webber maintains the rage because his start was especially superb considering starts aren't his strongest point not to mention the wing business. He should give Vettel the old Edward G. Robinson line, "You were good, kid, really good, but while I'm around you'll always be second best." I believe!

F1 Dear 'ol Bernie's probably more worried about incontinence. Is he thinking...'every time there's a ripping race, I'll double the ask'?
Its a great track and F1 would be mad to price it off the calendar. I'd love to see V8 Supercars flying around it.
