Grand Prix 4 I haven't had GP4 installed for a while as I couldn't find a way to make it work with my controllers, until a few weeks ago - so I reinstalled it.
But somehow my AI are very tentative - like they give way too much space to each other - like 5 metres in Melbourne T1 - and they defend way too early - i.e. they start blocking when a car is like 60-70 metres behind them. It feels like th

Thank you!
Melbourne works, Sepang just crashes to desktop. Tried with CSM as well as with vanilla game and GPxPatch.

Grand Prix 4 Managed to get it working by using 3 tools:
- vJoy
- Joystick Gremlin
- HidHide Configuration Client - only reason I needed this is because I couldn't get HidGuardian to work, and this allowed me to disable the devices I wanted to assign in Joystick Gremlin as the virtual joystick buttons/axii, and when I re-enabled them, they were ID 3 and lower, enabling my virtual joystick as well as S

Grand Prix 4 Was fiddling for hours last night with x360xe - game just doesn't detect it.
Also tried Xpadder, can't combine controllers.
Will try some other options.

Grand Prix 4 This is so good to see, but sadly incomplete.
What track updates do you guys use to get the rest of the tracks up to standard? Are there any other good 2000-2003 HD track updates I can use perhaps?

Grand Prix 4 First problem:
I have 3 input devices:
- Simucube OSW
- Fanatec Clubsport V3
- SRC GT1 rim (SLI-Pro button box connected via USB)
As you are aware, only 2 input devices are supported. However, there are programs that can help with combining them somehow. Which is the best to use - especially from a GP4 POV - and is there something specific I need to keep in mind?
Second problem: My

Grand Prix 4 Still haven't seen any confirmation of "end of exclusivity" except to a thread on CM's forums that had no inkling of confirmation either. One person even said the thread title is misleading, suggesting it may not be 100% correct.
As an aside, installed CSM again on the weekend (after getting bored with F1 2019), installing the 1994, 2001 and 2006 mods. Started with a champi

Grand Prix 4 In the performance.txt file, can we add our name to any team we want, or must it be in Team #10, and must we give the team any name if that is the case?
EDIT: Sorry, found the rules. As you were.
Thanks for the competition, really nice idea.

Grand Prix 4 How does one get the tracks to show full trackside detail with this mod? I tried setting Trackside Objects to High manually, which didn't fix it, and I selected Extra High as the texture detail in CSM mod variable screen, which didn't fix it either but nonetheless made my CPU occupancy 2200% (on high it's between 20 and 40%).
At the moment I have tracks that look almost blank tr

How did you fix it? I am having the same issue trying to install the patch.

Grand Prix 4 I have this issue again.
The deletion of f1gstate.sav works once, and then when exiting and returning, it happens again the next time.
It also does not happen when running GP4.exe, but only when using GPXPatch.
I remember I had it before and there was a permanent fix that I stumbled upon, but I can't remember what it was now.
Thanks in advance.

Nope. CSR Elites and V2's both do the same thing, others have the same issue.
Anyway, upgraded to V3's now and it works, so all good.

Grand Prix 4 Just don't get the Fanatec Clubsport V2 or CSR Elites for pedals - axes are inverted on GP4 for both, and thus far I have found no way to fix that.

Off-Topic Thanks for keeping this mod alive!
Does anyone know the changelog? Curious as to what exactly was edited/updated since V2.

It makes me sad because it's still my favorite game.
Oh well. Thanks for everyone's inputs then. It's clear this is impossible.

Grand Prix 4 So I got Fanatec Clubsport V2's as an upgrade now, and I was hoping this issue would be solved now... but it isn't. Pedal axes are still inverted.
Does this mean that basically nobody with Fanatec pedals are able to play Grand Prix 4?
