Original GP4 driver names missing [Fixed]

I have this symbol / instead of the driver names. Replaced the 1.02v exe, no change. Any ideas on why is it so?

maybe the update bugged your GP2001_English file located under \Infogrames\Grand Prix 4\MenuData\PC\GP2001 folder.
check it bud

pimpones1? he can delete the f1gstate.sav archive and reexecute the game... i think this will resolve the problem :p

I have this issue again.

The deletion of f1gstate.sav works once, and then when exiting and returning, it happens again the next time.

It also does not happen when running GP4.exe, but only when using GPXPatch.

I remember I had it before and there was a permanent fix that I stumbled upon, but I can't remember what it was now.

Only a reinstall fixed it for me a few weeks ago for good.

My workaround was to export the original performances, load the file into GPxPatch and launch from there, but I didn't like the idea of my vanilla GP4 being bugged, so I'd rather reinstalled the whole thing.
