Yes, because it’s so much easier to deny and belittle an inconvenient truth than it is to face up to reality and change, isn’t it? You prat.

That’s pretty concerning if true.

F1 I genuinely couldn't believe the news when I read about it(Actually I first saw a photo tribute on Instagram and thought it was someone making a bad joke). In some ways I still can't.
While I understand that everyone dies(Thanks Vader!), to me he seemed more than human. It's like reading that Chuck Norris has died. He had overcome such adversity, fought through so much. I did ge

F1 Retirement is what the BBC and other websites are going with, but yeah, there's nothing stopping him coming back and racing in F1 again another time.
It's a shame to see him leave in one way, but it also makes sense that he at least wants to take a break from F1 after the last few depressing and exhausting seasons suffering from Jacques Villeneuve Syndrome, and concentrate on trying

This.
He knows that regardless of how good he is, Verstappen is RedBull's Chosen One and they're going to be biased towards him as long as he's driving for them.
It's a very smart move. He's going to be

F1 PS - When I say traffic, I should add that the team radio would've been more interestng if it had been Kimi getting held up behind the "blappers", as he called one of them in Germany.

F1 I think the time Vettel lost in traffic in the laps before his stop put Bottas in leapfrog range and the slow Ferrari stop ensured the fail. Yeah, I think they've gone back to the chaotic organisation level of the pre-MS era, that needs to change if they want to win the title against Mercedes. They need to use the summer break to regroup.
As for the Hamilton-Vettel rivalry, I think the Be

F1 It was mainly boring, yeah, but I found it interesting to watch the strategy play out between Hamilton and Vettel.
I think the late-race collision between Bottas and Vettel, with Vettel escaping, could figure in the title battle. Because he got up to 2nd Vettel is still within 25 points of Hamilton, with several races coming up where Ferrari should have a pace advantage. I honestly can't

F1 Wow, that one came alive at the end. Bottas demolition derby. How Vettel's tyre survived that is a minor miracle.
Nice win by Lewis.

F1 I've been thinking about this, based partly on Fernando's achievements outside of F1 lately, and partly because F1 seems to be developing a more openminded mentality towards F1 drivers participating in other motorsports during a season.
It would be extremely difficult - for one thing it would need the Indy 500 and Monaco GP to be held on separate weekends, but that has happened before,

F1 It was really entertaining, and I can't remember a Quali session before where slicks, inters and wets were all necessary at different stages! Surprisingly "normal" grid order, really, considering how crazy the weather had been.
Apart from Lewis, the outstanding performances came from Sainz and the Toro Rosso drivers IMO.
It still sets up an interesting race, even if the weath

F1 Really nice pics, Jimz0r, and impressive that you got so close to the action too.
Basically the only difference in Kubica then and now is that he's lost most of his hair.
Edit: Couldn’t help but notice there was no response to my nice comment... What an ungrateful little @#$%&.

F1 I wasn't comparing Rubens' epic drive with Lewis's drive per se(The similarity begins and ends with their starting positions IMO). Rubens was in a different league in that respect.
I was more making the comparison with what used to be more widely associated with the old long track - showers falling on just one part of it with a spectacular effect on the race. I've honestly ne

I remembered this specific comment in the run-up to this weekend's race, and it made me think... This German GP was actually surprisingly similar to 2000!

F1 Great Quali yesterday, great battle for Pole, and great Pole by Vettel. Hoping for an entertaining race this afternoon, especially if it rains. But some excitement is assured, with Lewis and Ricciardo being out of position.

F1 I'll be surprised if Grosjean keeps the Haas seat next year. With the exception of Austria, he's been abysmal this year, seemingly running into anything that's moving and a lot of things that aren't. He's always been mistake-prone but this has been a new level of fail. Magnussen must surely be Haas's ideal choice going forward.

F1 Quality last few laps. Loved to see the Mercedes and Ferraris battling so closely!
Brilliant win by Vettel, thoroughly deserved, but great recovery drive by Lewis too.
Yeah, this season is proving to be pretty close. It's not a 1997 or a 2012, but it's much more competitive and entertaining so far than last year was.

F1 Nah, sadly there seems to be no more news about it - the most recent "new" news Google came up with was from 2016. Seemingly it was a rumour which turned out to be unsubstantiated.
Disappointing really, because a reactivation of the original Osterreichring would be all kinds of epic.
Nice Pole by Bottas!

So, P3 is starting soon... There seems to be some dodgy weather in the area waiting to kick off, judging by how the clouds were looking yesterday.
Hoping for a close and entertaining Quali and race, which we usually tend to get here anyway.

F1 Yeah, the traffic situation was @#$%&. It reminded me of the commentary for the first race at Magny Cours in '91 when Murray said that "you get here through country lanes and enormous traffic jams" - but that was then... Seems that racetracks in France generally need better transport networks. I'm hoping they'll sort that for next year, as well as the pit exit.

F1 The F2 race was quality! Not sure how good it would've been without the rain, but it was definitely great entertainment from start to finish.
I'd say this track is more entertaining to watch races on than Magny Cours at least(I haven't driven both yet). You didn't like the final section after it was modified in 2003? I thought that was a big improvement over the Lycee, whi
