got the newer version of Max's 1st Win with the pitboard, and also broken/missing left nose camera like the limited edition one:
am really impressed with the fine detail on this, the little silver stays that connect the various elements on the front wing, the little hoop that i think cuts the fuel flow if pulled, they're hard to see but they're on

Off-Topic I agree Gav, i expected Steve to be terrible and am pleasantly surprised. No one has or will top Jake tho IMO.
Also same, i think the C4 features have been more interesting than many of Sky's.

F1 i've watched the Sky coverage through Sky Go ever since it went from the BBC and i also feel it's been slowly going downhill. the BBC team of Jake, DC, Martin, Leigh, Ted et al was perfect.
Brundle was Sky's one hope but even his contribution has steadily deteriorated i feel. his gridwalks are not as entertaining or informative as they used to be. i never liked Georgie Thompson bu

F1 one of the better looking of the new hybrid era, mostly because of the nose. i hate the stub noses of most of the field.
what is the thinking behind this collection? i thought it was just the world championship winning cars but it seems like it's quite random.

Off-Topic i love that Lotus, but i missed it in the shop
luckily i have one already but maybe not as good, but it did have the JPS livery as standard:
and i've finally got this 1:18 Aston Martin DBS from Casino Royale (the DBS is probably my favourite roadcar), i saw it the shops when it was on sale in 2006 but didn't buy it, then instantly regretted it as it sold out and was the

Off-Topic Try Toronto Motorsports, I've used them many times over the past 10-15 years shipping from Canada to me in the UK. They sometimes have sales and they also sell tobacco decals to convert your models.
I was sceptical about this partworks model collection but some of them do look decent quality, especially once converted to the tobacco liveries.
I have most of the models featured so far i

Off-Topic Congratulations Vader!
I joined in the olde phorum days too, maybe 2002 when i was into GP3, then eventually made the leap to GP4.
I loved those days where we could spend hours posting, it was almost like a live chat with continuous entertainment every evening.
then it got revamped into the new forum in 2004 and we all had to re-register.
the model cars thread started by LS in 2004 is

Off-Topic I hated the whole Doomsday section of the movie, he was basically a grey Hulk. It all then became a big CGI fight and i couldn't even tell what was going on in some of it. I tend to tune out when it goes like that, the same reason i don't like the Avengers movies and Hulk in particular. so many plotholes and loose ends in this movie, it's ridiculous:

Off-Topic I got part 1, probably will get part 2 if i see it in the shops (Lauda's '77 Ferrari), but i think £9.99 is a bit steep given the relatively low quality of the models. I think this would be a good opportunity to get into model collecting for newcomers to F1 though, as Minichamps prices have skyrocketed in recent years.

Off-Topic the gig i mentioned back in September a couple of posts up happened this saturday and IT WAS AMAZING!!! am sooooo happy to have eventually seen them after many years of loving them. The visuals were awesome and the playing/singing were flawless, Matt Bellamy proved again he is a musical genius and an awesome frontman and entertainer/showman, he really knows how to play to the audience and involve

Off-Topic Bottas appears to get hit by Ricciardo a fraction of a second before hitting Lewis, he was already applying opposite lock before contact with Lewis was made. He'd still have hit him had Dan not hit him anway. I thought the penalty was too harsh though.
I was going to bring up the customer car issue also. Is all the praise heaped on Haas really warranted? I agree with SchueyFan that once a

F1 i also liked the old 1-hour 12 lap system. as has been said, you'd get 4 runs of 3 laps and it generally build to a crescendo (apart from if it rained and got worse through the hour). maybe 1 hour is too long today, so 45mins maybe, with 12 laps per driver might be good?

F1 Wow that's amazing, find of the century!
I thought i'd done well with the 1:43 version for £24 a few posts up!
Just goes to show if people don't now about models or whatever hobby, they won't know the value and can give the item away for virtually nothing.

Off-Topic Muse tickets went on sale at 9am today for their Manchester gig next April 8th as part of their Drones tour, sold out within a couple of minutes and were appearing on reseller websites for hundreds of ££ immediately after, couldnt get any
found out an hour later that they announced another gig for the day after at the same venue and managed to get 2 tickets, only at the top tier at the back,

Off-Topic another sad and tragic day in motorsport. i remember him joining Minardi after they built a bigger car to accomodate him, and then Jaguar during 2003. always seemed like a nice bloke. the only positive is that he and his family didn't suffer long, as Jules Bianchi and his family did, while they waited for the inevitable

Other Motorsports Luciano Burti 2001 was a similar accident:
yeah the race seemed action packed but dull at the same time, which was weird.
loved Verstappen and Kvyat tho.
Vettel went off the track at Raidillon immediately before his tyre let go (as most drivers and he did multiple times throughout the race). could that tyre abuse have led to the failure?

F1 yeah i saw a bit of footage from '92 and '93 recently and MS seemed more jokey and like he was mucking around with the mechanics. i suppose he was young and had nothing to lose or fight for so it wasn't as serious as in his later successful years.
Affleck has done some stinker movies in his time but he's become a really credible actor and director i think. i've always

Off-Topic Yeah thought i'd do some housekeeping with my sig and avatar while I was on here the other day. Yes I'm excited for batman v superman. I don't understand all the flack Ben affleck's getting for playing batman. I think he fits the character well based on the photos and trailers so far.

F1 yeah i read about the amp setup recently, the singer was saying other musicians were puzzled how he did this and he wouldn't tell them his settings or something.
Jimmy Page is a fan of theirs too.
I only know 1 Everything Everything song, the one that was on the radio a short while a go, Distant Past, and i like it:

Off-Topic haha, this is great. i posted on page 2 of the thread saying they were brilliant.
i still love their old stuff (Absolution, Origin of Symmetry and Black Holes...) are amazing albums, but i was disappointed with The Resistance, more disappointed with The 2nd Law, and kind of meh with Drones, bar a couple of decent tracks.
