Yeah brilliant video! I remember spending hours playing Pole Position and pitstop on the Commodore 64, although they skipped Grand Prix Circuit and the rather poor Grand Prix Unlimited, both of which I also spent ages on. I still remember the first day I got World Circuit Grand Prix 1, I played it for 8 hours solid! I can even begin to work out how many days I spent playing that game. I do agreeby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Got a question to you render guys, how do I get the 3d model of the wheels out of GP4? I've been trying to search the wad but besides a "wheel" GP4 file which doesn't actually have anything useful it seems, I can't find anything. I'm using Zmodeler and then exporting to another program to render, can get the cars easy but can't find any wheels. Can anyone help?by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
F1 News did cover every race though, and yes the photography was very good in them. However the Autosport magazines used to have detail drawings of changes to cars at each race if I remember correctly, which would be very useful to modders trying to make race-by-race mods.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Wouldn't care much for the F1 Racing, but those Autosport and F1 News magazines are brilliant. I remember the F1 News, some seriously funny articles in there. Eff One's Rumours were brilliant. Pity it all went bust on them.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
What you been smoking today? And can you share?by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
When I had this problem before it was a issue with my graphics config file. I downloaded a new one from here and never had the problem again, regardless of track. Might be worth a try doing that. Search on here for a f1config fileby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Well there's your first problem if you're looking for realistic power settings!by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Strange though, cos I always felt that Ripping Corpse's mods tended to have standard physics. It's probably just the power setting in the physics file but I'll have a look some time.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
That would suggest a problem with the mod physics which needs to be looked at.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Indeed, but probably the most likely answer is that your graphics textures need to be set on "high".by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4

Tried again now and all it will do is freeze on lap 18,even when I save on that lap. So I can't get a log. It even froze on lap 23 when I accelerated the time.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Ok, well I'll try again soon and see if I can get it to CTD rather than freeze the system completely. It seems to always freeze last night on lap 18.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Well I personally don't class rFactor, F1 2010 or F1 2011 as simulations, they are just arcade type games with some realistic stuff added. I thought the physics for GTR2 were better than rFactor, which shows that ISI didn't know how to do it properly, which is also a surprise because F1C was actually good, although tracks and cars weren't great. I haven't driven netkarpro forby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4

I've got a funny problem, all my Canada tracks, regardless of trackpack or mod, always seem to suffer much more from CTD or complete system freeze than others. I was trying to do a 100% race last night there and even with saving every 5 laps I've only got to lap 15 in 1h30min of playing and gave up because it either CTD or froze the pc. I was using the 1993 trackpack with a personal 93by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Before my hard drive crashed and I had to start again I had sorted this problem in a way. In TSM I installed a each track as a "new track" just linking to the .dat and .wad files in the original gp4 folders. So I'd call it say Imola 2001 and then link the correct dat and wad files. You do need the 2001 calendar and it takes a few minutes but once you have those setup you should beby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
The legend returns! Been waiting for this mod for a while now. Thanks for your great efforts, and thanks for not forgetting us over at GPG!by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
OT slightly but there is also a nice Indycar style TV style for GP4 here - - I like it and run it on my mod.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Looks great, thanks! Now we need the Peugeot. I'm going to look into doing a private mod with all the Le Mans from this, the Aston Martin and the LM mod on GPDBby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
I don't know if it's what might help you but I usually use GPX Race Manager, which was originally for GP3 but works great with GP4.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
1280 x 1024 here - also haven't converted to widescreen yet.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Looks very interesting! Keep it up! :Dby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Yeah I have the same thing. Over the course of GP2, GP3 and now GP4 I've developed a style of braking hard to start with and then quickly taping as I get closer to the corner. Even still I get lockup. The main thing is to not be doing the main part of your turn-in when you are braking otherwise you'll lock and understeer wide. It's also easier with cars/mods with more grip than witby Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Ah ok, well this is a problem in general, personally I just try to be neater into the corners. Maybe adjusting the brake balance towards the rear will help but not much. Someone else will have to give us the secret here.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
When are you having the wheelspin? At the start or all the time? I'm a keyboard racer so I may be able to help. Are you using launch control off the line?by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
Cool, we need some more Indycar tracks for the Indycar 08 mod.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
PIQUETFAN Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's really good! BTW, about the real track, I'm > having a bad feeling about this entrance/exit pit > lane... The entrance might be a bit tricky if you're following someone, depends on how close to the braking point for Club it is, might be fine if it's before the braking zone. I may be wrong here, but I think if you select quicklaps and then go to the driver selection page you should be able to select whichever driver you want there and also how many compete in the quicklaps session.by Bruce D - Grand Prix 4
