Hi after a recent cars.wad error on starting CSM (says a clean cars.wad couldn't be found) i now get crash to desktops for all mods when loading the session. I put what i think was a clean cars.wad in but still same problem. Can someone upload a clean cars.wad or take a look at the log below to advise? Thank you Rich EDIT Log is too big which part do I upload?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, I have a question regarding pit stops and being released from the box back into the pitlane. Obviously cars wait if traffic is coming down the pitlane until it is clear, but is there a value that controls how cautious a cc car is on release? I’m having a few instances of cars losing time stuck waiting to get out the box. Also does anyone know what happens if in magic data you setby RHill - Grand Prix 4

Thank you! Hopefully that fixes it because I have no idea how it started! Sounds like it beeps when autobrake should be coming onby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Basically I’m looking for the list of keyboard binds that is default because I edited some of them. For example F1 is autobrake etc The beeping noise happens only when I have auto gears turned off as an aid. It’s like I’m getting a beep to tell me to change down or brake or somethingby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Can somebody please upload the default key binds for CSM? Thank youby RHill - Grand Prix 4
I was messing about with auto gears and auto braking the other day and now every time I enter a braking zone (even with aids off) I get a weird and very annoying ‘ding’ or ‘ping’ sound. Can anyone help get rid of it?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
I'm specifically looking to make the exit to low seed corners fair between me and the ai by preventing me as the player accelerating away in the lower gears with better tractionby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Can anyone tell me how I go about editing the power torque curve for a mod, but specifically to give less torque / traction / power out of corners in low gears. Thanks in advance Richby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Is it possible to turn off plank wear? I know you can stop tyre wear by editing magic data values but I want to stop the game dropping my top speed because a plank corner goes over 1.0 Can it be turned off? If not any suggestions I can have to getting cars low but Not ruining the plank Thank youby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys I’m looking to get myself a Thrustmaster TX racing wheel Ferrari 458 italia. So I can get the Ferrari f1 wheel add on. The wheel works with PC but wanted to see if anyone is using this wheel with gp4 and check it will be compatible with GP4? Thanks for any adviceby RHill - Grand Prix 4

Hi all, If I set my ride height very low and prevent plank rub with packers, would my ability to slipstream be decreased versus a higher ride height? Thanks Richby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, Installing a new season next week and wanted to get your guys view on what you believe to be your favourite / best CSM mods? And why? So far i’m a big fan of the 2012 mod from GP4 central. Richby RHill - Grand Prix 4
Yep thats what has caused it - thank you so much! Not sure why i have only just noticed it - maybe because i did paul ricard and baku last time, therefore the long straights have caused it. Wonder if it can be dealt with in the magic data?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Ah very interesting I will check that. How do you stop the plank wearing if that’s the problem? Ride height I assume.by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, I could really use some help! I’ve noticed in some of my CSM mods a weird thing that causes a drop in the players max RPM and therefore top speed. At the start of a race I can reach the same max RPM and top speed as the AI, but then on lap 2 or 3 on the circuits longest straight my RPM and top speed suddenly drop (up to as much as 500 RPM) which is then never recovered for the restby RHill - Grand Prix 4
But wouldn’t those values lead to a huge amount of errors?!by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Does anyone have any good values for the ai error chance now available in the performance file? Like a low, mid and high that is realistic?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Hi Gitanes, Thanks for all your perf files. Do you make your failure figures accurate for 100% race distances? I've been reading for 50% race distances I should double them to make realisticby RHill - Grand Prix 4
It makes sense because a higher value means the minimum braking point is sooner and therefore they brake really early and get rear ended. It’s a range essentially before and after the normal brake point. I think min is more about creating a consistent point where cars won’t brake before. So you’ve noticed a difference in behaviour with max?by RHill - Grand Prix 4

The individual cc errors is a game changer I think. Even if you just decide a low medium and high for each driver it brings a real difference in races and then changing between races brings personality to a seasonby RHill - Grand Prix 4

Can I just confirm for the cc aggressiveness min and max values... When talking about the minimum, does high mean high aggressiveness or high minimum value (ie braking early). Same goes for max...does high mean high aggressiveness so late braking?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Do you think the optimal values will be different for each of your magic data years? Ie 2001 enhanced, 2011, 2012 etc?by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Tom, I’m a big fan of your magic data sets for consistency across a season. When it comes to the desc 51 and 52 values, how much did you calibrate these? I’m just wondering if it’s worth me tweaking the values for later breaking or if you optimised this already? I’m not too worried about individual differences in drivers more so that the magic data braking is as late as possible for all cars.by RHill - Grand Prix 4
Do we know anything about what values are high or low for these 51 and 52 values. I’m aiming to get the latest min value and latest max value for a deep breaking zone. I know it’s looks like trail and error but where do you begin!by RHill - Grand Prix 4
