Rene, I have added the upgrades from GPxPatch 4.3 to the newer patches and now I have seemed to lose the system reading an edited Team Performance file created and tweaked in the old Team Performance Editor. I am still trying to understand the difference between "Old behavior and the Team power and grip options but correct me if I am wrong, when none of these are checked and a separate performance file is entered in the field below those, should not the whole game including all tracks just default to that?

Thanks sincerely,

I have run the updates from 4.3 to 4.51 and now the system seems to want to ignore my custom performance file. I still struggle to understand the various details about Old behavior vs team power and grip and always thought that omitting those check offs and filling that third field with an alternate performance file would cause the game to default to that setting, is that not correct?

@landex: please redownload the installer. If that doesn't help clear your browser cache.

Driving a race in Silverstone pre-91, GP4 crashed again suddenly in lap 23 of 60. But after a few minutes and a loading screen later, I was able to go on with the same race with just repeating a few seconds of the lap it crashed. The first time I have needed the new autosave tool of GPxPatch. It is simply amazing to know that there is no game crash anymore which can stop me from racing! This is the achievement of our great master, the one and only SDI! GREAT! Thank you again for this amazing patch and tools in it. Without it GP4 would be quite boring. ;) (B) (H) (Y)

René - I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there any way I can pull the driver abbreviation (3 letters of surname, e.g. VET) into a GPxCInfo item?

I want to create something using GapFront and GapBehind that resembles the TV hud like this:

P1 HAM -0.123
P2 VET << selected car
P3 RAI +0.123

Where the selected driver is the middle one, but using the available info items I can only get the full driver name, not specifically the surname and not only 3 letters like I can with gapfront and gapbehind.

The info is there somewhere because we now specify this driver abbreviation in the perf file. Can that be exposed to GPxCInfo please?

Edit: Alternatively, if the ShowForCar and ShowForTeam filters can be added to info items, and not just Images, I could achieve the same thing using Labels and Filters.

Does anyone have any good values for the ai error chance now available in the performance file? Like a low, mid and high that is realistic?

But wouldn’t those values lead to a huge amount of errors?!
