I'm currently working on a fictionnal oval track. It's not my first try at track-editing, but recent progress with GP4Builder enable more people to build tracks, thanks to Lo2k. Here is the full layout : It's a typical american tri-oval. Some figures for you about it : - 1.5 mile long (1.503 mile in fact, which equals 2419 meters) - 24-degree-banked corners, 5 degreesby Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Prblanco ecrit: ------------------------------------------------------- > By the way, I'll ask for a new feature... button > shortcuts for plain/wireframe... I'd use them a > lot! Just press F4by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Wow, juste tried the "Edit Track Sectors" Box, it's simply awesome, it saves a lot of free time. Thank you again.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Many, many, many thanks Lo2k, I can't say enough "many"s to describe that.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
As far as I know, complete sets of 2006 and 2007 seasons don't exist yet, but I'm sure you can find some single helmets like Hamilton's 2006. Try using the search button just under the banner of the site.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Knowing that jimbob1 is a "track man", I bet on a TSM Trackpack of all tracks ever made for GP4, with all the corresponding season profiles. That could explain the size of the file and the useness or not for some users.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
2. You can go up to 127 laps with GP4Builder.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
To open both .gp4 and .dat files, you have to open the .gp4 file named as it will be in the wad, when the .dat is in the same folder, named as if it was the .dat of this track. For instance, if your track is designed for the A1-Ring slot (6th), you have to have in the same folder : - a1ring2001.gp4 - S1CT06.dat and if you open a1ring2001.gp4, il will open both files.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
I'll join later as Mid-Season player .by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Put verbosity to high in GPxPatch and post the new log.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
50 is harder, if I remember well, 50 means you have only 50% of the grip without slipstream, and 20 means you have 80% of the default grip.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
First, thanks for having spent time on it. But in my opinion, it requires more work : the layout is not accurate, when I look at the trak from the top, I have the strange feeling that the track is deformated from the real layout. Especially, the corkskrew is narrower, and there is less straight sectors between the left and the right corners of it. Another thing to work on is the elevationsby Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
If you can open .eps files it is here :by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Do you have MSN ? If so, catch my address in my profile and let's discuss about itby Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Did you enable the "SEL" button ? Did you add the texture to the material list ?by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
1. When you're in the game, press ESC and go to "Options > Save > Hotlap" or "Options > Save > Game", depending on whether you want to save one single lap or a whole session. Then, to see saved stuff, juste click "Load" at the main menu and select the file you want to open.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
I advise you to remap one light at a time. With ZModeler : - Select the faces (be sure to be in "Face level", which is the 2nd icon of the 4 cube icons of the main toolbar) of the light you want to remap, using the tool "Select... > Single..." and right-clicking on the corresponding faces. At this rate, it has to appear in red. - Enable the "SEL" button atby Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Just remap the moved parts with ZModeler.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4

Great work, I really love this track, keep on !by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
The real player laptimes depends : - Physics - Track version (CC Line, Magic Data) - Whether you use some GP4 Tweaker tweaks (like tyre wear) - Whether you use V8 Torque GP4.exe or not There are too much different parameters to compare anyone's lap. Or at least, you need to establish precise rules in order to have the exact same conditions for all players. That's the reason whyby Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Laurent, great work !by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Great work ! But I think there's one picture missing on the noseby Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
You can press F11 using GPxPatch to take screenshots without Al+Tab. The shots are directly stored as .bmp files in the gpxpdata/screenshots folder of your GP4 installation.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for your reply, it's a pity it's impossible. I will make it 2D.by Gusgus - Grand Prix 4
