Yeah well, although it's a decent team effort, I am a bit disappointed. The car clearly had the pace for much more, but we were on track at the wrong time. Weather radar said there'd be more rain, apparently there wasn't. But at least we see that the updates are working, so hopefully the big guys can gain more from it.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Oh well, at least we're not last ... sorry Greg Feel a bit like Ferrari right now. High hopes, crushing reality. The upside is that we were expecting another tough weekend and opted for a solid improval rather than squeezing updates out before they're ready.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Oh yeah, gonna be another tough race for us with all those boosts, but I knew why I waited ...by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

Oh man, we'll really have to work on the drivability of the car. It looks like neither of our drivers has confidence, currently, The driving errors are just a logical consequence.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Looks like MTP's reliability department did its job. However, it also looks like we neglected performance a bit too much for that. Might have to re-evaluate the developtment course over the season.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Looks like only Matteo is already familiar with the new car. Tough first round so far. Let's see what is possible in the race.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

Thanks for the ingame shots. I see the red is still too dark on the livery, so I'll send an update for Round 2.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
That's a matter of the skin. To me, it looks like the 'amber' logo was put there with a lightly dark transparent layer behind it. That makes it look a little darker as the rest of the white parts on the car and that's what causes the hard edge. Open the skin and see if you can get rid of this background layer and you should be fine.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
That's a really good progress already! The floor mirroring looks a lot better. And the general brightness is also better. Tyres look better, too, but there are still those hard edges between the tyre walls and the treads. Like Tobi said, it looks like these textures don't belong together. I also noticed that you completely removed the specularity. Giving the car object some of it as well asby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Also the specularity or whatever it's called in Blender (the glowing light spots) isn't very nice, yet, at the front wing (too blurred) and too shiny on the sidepot edges. And personally, I'd either reduce or blurr the mirroring effect, because typically, it's imperfections that make renders look more natural. I know this all sounds quite overwhelming at the moment. I've been there in the pasby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

I wouldn't say that's yellow, it's rather poison green and with those red lines, it's easily distinguishable from the MAC. Personally, I would have gone either a little darker or a little lighter with that green, but it surely goes nicely with the red lines.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Sounds a bit like a Michel Vaillant miniseries to me I definitely see a lot of potential. You can do outside commentaries of races or in-cockpit passages where you 'think' about how to pass that damn guy in front of you or freak out when your engine leaks. Between-race breaking news, etc. You could also add series-swaps, have them start in Formula-2 and work them up. I'm a fountain of ideas.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

MTP S14 Team Launch Due to the ongoing restrictions linked to the current Coronavirus pandemia, MTP today reveils their S14 contender in a mostly empty warehouse based on the team factory area. Team principal Maverick: "It is with a strange mix of sadness and joy that we present to you the next evolution of our GPGSL endeavour. I'd rather have taken 5th in constructors, both because of one boost more and because I wouldn't have had to change the numbers on the livery Tough race for MTP, as expected. It's good that the season is over now so that we can analyse what went wrong and hopefully fight for a top 3 next season. The championship fight was, in the end, a lot closer than I anticipated. Good thing that I gotby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
MTP S14 Sneak Peek MTP is confirming its S14 contender is in the final stages of development and will be ready for the start of next season with a Sneak Peek purposely leaked to the media. Stay tuned for more to come soon.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4

Team-wise, it's quite an expected qualifying result. One decent, one not so well with no boost against quite a few heavily-boosted teams. If it stays wet, anything can happen. I just hope for some points to finish the season. Championship-wise, I fear it's going to be quite tough for Pedersen, even in wet conditions. If it was the other way round, I'd get the popcorn out and wait for a champioby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Frustration over focus, that pretty much sums up my end to this race. In the end it didn't make much of a difference. Big congrats to Nathan and MAC, however, he's a well deserved championship winner and since the engine held on, there was no way to beat him today.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Ok, it was clear with those boosts that my chances for the WTC title were slim but now I really need a miracle from the Racing God. Looks like it's between Glen and Nathan. Maybe Gareth and I can have a good fight for P3 in the championship.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Dear Racing-God, please make those +8 boost cars blow up. If you do, I promise free virtual Swiss-chocolate for 2 years. Amen.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Officially, it's dung. In vulgar speech, it's crapby JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
Well, that went amazingly well, especially compared to my expectations before the round. Dunno where the speed of the car came from, but finishing 2nd and Matteo winning came completely out of nowhere! The greater is the happiness, of course. The real thing to complain is how Carlos' race was ended since he was on a good way to even some more points. But this shall not ruin our team celebrations.by JohnMaverick - Grand Prix 4
