Round 2 - Malaysian GP - Race Part 2 We get straight back to the action with Copeman diving up the inside of Chris Warrington in turn 4. A flick to the view from the other Tyrant shows the MAC stays behind, but also Cremasco attempting to get passed Hinz. He fails to get the car stopped in time, instead running into the back of the AMR, losing all grip, and finding himself facing oncoming trafby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
Round 2 - Malaysian GP - Race Part 1 Hello and welcome back to Sepang. Yesterday we saw Carlos Rodriguez take pole in a rather soggy qualifying session, closely followed by McClure in the Ecurie Mistral machine. Those hoping for far simpler weather in the race are set for disappointment, with the forecast predicting lighter rain, but for more changeable conditions over the race. Let's heaby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4

Gonna run the race and upload tonight. The days wait was semi-planned, so don't fear the wait isn't going to be long. Someone may need to update the topic title, as I can't.by truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
Round 2 - Malaysian GP - Qualifying With free practice done and lessons learned, it's time for the big guns to show what they've got. Free practice proved a washout, and qualifying ended up no different. Heavy rain fell the session, without any signs of sunshine. Qualifying resulted in a true test of who can handle their car the best out there, and who's set the car up just righby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4

Knew Sepang was going to be tricky, I don't like the place. My british roots came through a little to help with the swimming, but once again not enough. I need some serious simulator work! Qualifying has already been run. I'll post either today or tomorrow once FP has had a chance to breath! Can't promise the race will be video commentary though Mr Soutsenby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4

Sorry if my suggestion came across as criticism. I'm perfectly happy with the way things are, and fully respect the work Stu, John, Greg and everyone put into this. It was just an attempt to chuck an idea out to further improve things. Let's roll on to round 2.by truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
Yeh I've seen a project around here that was similar to that. Don't know how it went! It works like the brake lights, so whenever the light is on the rear wing fills in. Hence why it opens as soon as the car accelerates in the ascari chicane. I think that's it at leastby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4

If we get the boost working in a way that the majority are happy with, maybe that can be used to provide a little bonus to the long term drivers? We talk about the GPGNC boost system a lot and whilst it has some flaws there's a system rewarding long term drivers and successful drivers. As it stands Tobi has accumulated enough for an extra 150/150 Q/R boost in one race. It's nothing majoby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
14th May. I agree on the calendar shortening. The current grid has 14 countries with a real track that has been made for GP4, and that me/Tobi have determined are suitable for series use. So we can either go with that, or go with the 12 that Tobi suggested. Why not set up a straw poll like this: and take some votes on length. Or a google form to vote on multiple rule changes at once, if thereby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
Lovely drive Aidan, great work! Shame about Douglas, but considering how the race was going a retirement isn't the worst. Got to say that Snake looks mean in the rear view camera. And I agree with Ruben, the Tyrant and Demon machines look great with the low nose.by truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
Nice Ruben, looking forward to this!by truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
No worries Greg, it's tough when things come up. Hopefully you're able to get the coverage out soon. Not sure more race directors will have solved this case, considering Greg was so quick with the first few sessionsby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
We can pull something together between us. Tobi/Ruben leave behind pretty good bases, so even if things aren't 100% perfect we can get someone to drop the cars/helmets/config in there. Why not say something like "Send all files to the GPG_Nations_Cup account by the 15th May"?by truecrysis - Grand Prix 4

Based on the amount of work I believe already goes into the performance, I'm not 100% convinced the guys behind that will welcome a variable boost system. At least right away. I agree with Carlitox. How about as a compromise, we go for a bigger boost for S11, something along the lines of 150 or 200. Then during the season a group of people can work on implementing a boost budget in a wayby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4

If no-one else wants the slots, lets put Montenegro back in, with Mirko Vukcevic, Number 18 and some Firestones. I am fairly happy to let someone else take the position if people want to come in though. Was there any confirmation as to if there's going to be some tweaking done to season length? With the adding to the perf and subtracting from the variance, it doesn't instantly improve how good a driver is in the next race. It just means they're more likely to perform at the maximum level. As Tobi says variance adds performance on, so if a driver starts at 16000 perf and 600 variance, his perf for the race will be somewhere between 16000 and 16600. With 10 points added this becby truecrysis - Grand Prix 4
