You can find your screen resolution in Windows display settings (sorry I don't know exactly where because I'm using XP and I guess your new PC has Windows 7).by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Isaint, the front wheels are very far forward in this update, from the cockpit I think they look too far away?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4

Corrected the Pos File for the car on GP4 Centralby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
You edit the first 3 lines of f1graphics.cfg as follows: 1 ; f1graphics.cfg controls all settings (default 0) 1920 ; Game 3D Horizontal Resolution 1080 ; Game 3D Vertical Resolution The GP4 menu will be at a very low resolution when you load the game, don't worry about this. The menu cannot scale to custom resolutions, but in-game it can.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
I was just checking you were paying attention You're right, those are for the original car (before Isaint's updates). I uploaded my pos file against the wrong car. I will correct it later today - thanks for spotting the mistake neil!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4

Great update! I've done the Positions File for the car, it's available at GP4 Central.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
You will need to change every part of Globalvars.ini that contains a reference to the teams and drivers to put them all in the correct order. You also need to find any references to team names in other config files (i.e. "renault" instead of %team01%) and change those too.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
If you are using CSM this is easy. Go into your Settings\GlobalVars.ini file and set the team order like so: GlobalVars.ini ; Teams team01 =redbull team02 =mclaren team03 =ferrari team04 =mercedes team05 =renault team06 =williams team07 =forceindia team08 =sauber team09 =tororosso team10 =lotus team11 =virginby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
The next release of the 2011 Empty Mod is released at GP4 Central. v0.3 brings an updated performance file, CSM menu graphics and various minor fixes and improvements. I would welcome any feedback and suggestions on how to improve the Empty Mod.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4

The error is because it cannot find the lower lods of the Red Bull car. If you download v0.2 of the 2011 Empty Mod, the Red Bull RB7 by Excalibur is included. This should solve your problem.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Just remove Jorge's steering wheels, use the GP4 default steering wheel for now, and continue on with your excellent mod. Put this down to experience. It's always best to ask. Most guys are more than happy to see their content get greater exposure, but it's up to them.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
ooleeeo - Which files have you added to the mod? What error are you getting in GPxPatch when GP4 crashes? Post the log here.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Hi Bigbrother - I will try to create them soon.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Renault#1Fan. The carbon texture name has a space in it, it should be carbon.tex not carbon .tex Positions File for this car available at GP4 Central.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4

Quotewell done everyone who does mods on here and remember gp4 would be another boring out of date game if it wasnt for these guys +1by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
The reason I asked is because using a widescreen resolution affects the T-cam position. I've just introduced Positions Files to GP4 Central, which includes the T-cam position. My original plan was to assume everyone uses a widescreen setup now, but given the mixed results above, it seems that would only serve maybe 2/3 GP4 players. The solution will be to make them dynamically genby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Quite a few wide screens which is what I expected, thanks all for the responses so far.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4

The 2011 Empty Mod v0.2 has been released at GP4 Central. v0.2 introduces a concept stolen almost wholesale from Tony's 2009 Empty Mod - separate positions files for each car which are merged into GP4 Tweaker. The major difference is one file per team (instead of one per car) and the new files include the arms and rearlight positions as well as T-cam, other onboard cameras, tyres, helmby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for all the answers so far guys, keep them coming! This is very useful.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
To help with some ideas I have for GP4 Central, I'm interested to know what are the most common screen resolutions people use. In particular, do you use a widescreen resolution? I'll start the ball rolling, I use: 1920 x 1080by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
