Well I think we should open a new topic - for the sub menus - where everyone can chip in with some screenshots, name of the mod, type (csm. non csm), etc. , and I can shrink and edit them with your desired aspect. It would be much faster than alone.

Thanks Andrei the offer is very appreciated.

No need for a separate topic though let's just keep all things Central to this one thread.

Could there be a page where we can upload/submit mods?

Eventually yes. It's a "one-man-band" at the moment but I will expand it so there can be more participation from authors in future.

2011 Empty Mod v0.2 Released
Date: August 10, 2011 02:17AM
Posted by: TomMK
The 2011 Empty Mod v0.2 has been released at GP4 Central.

v0.2 introduces a concept stolen almost wholesale from Tony's 2009 Empty Mod - separate positions files for each car which are merged into GP4 Tweaker.

The major difference is one file per team (instead of one per car) and the new files include the arms and rearlight positions as well as T-cam, other onboard cameras, tyres, helmets and steering wheel positions.

You can see an example of how this works at GP4 Central. Excalibur's Red Bull RB7 is the first 2011 car to be given the GP4 Central treatment, and the positions file is available under the Download link.

GP4 Central will publish positions files for other 2011 cars in the near future. My hope is that it makes installing cars as quick and easy as possible.

I welcome any feedback on the Mod here.

New update is out, including the Arai helmet shape by MDBSnake and the 2011 TV HUD by 32BOBO32. Many thanks to both!

v0.5 also fixes a couple of errors in the config files; I had Trulli and Kovalainen the wrong way round and Alguersuari's name spelt wrong (easy mistake ;))

Nice site!

Just a suggestion: could you (or anybody) create a logo for the site?

Thanks!

kerleyf1 - you dont like my cartoon f1 cars? I think they're great ;) But I will make a proper logo eventually.

KTC - yes I agree, I need to put tracks on the site. You should check out F1Virtual and GP4 Forever, they're doing the best work on Tracks at the moment.
