Got it to run, but there are more changes than just the 9,10,21 helmets. E.g. camera settings were changed. So I wouldn't recommend using this .exe as it is, it's not clear what else has been changed from the original.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
It's because the browser makers have (wrongly) detected GP4 Tweaker Reloaded v1.045 as malware because of the way it injects code into GP4.exe. I've given up trying to persuade them it's a false positive and so have just recently removed that download from the site. The warnings should be removed once my application to the browser makers to review the site again gets processed.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
If the original game is showing white cars then you have an external issue, possibly a bad or corrupt installation. Follow these instructions and see if that fixes it.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
I think I'm pretty good at CC-Lines and whenever I post Tracks to GP4 Central I tend to update the CC-Line myself so check these out.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Incredible how it can still stand against the competition. It's a great mod, and Jorge's track updates are really fantastic - we're very lucky. Thanks for the video!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Lamentably there's not much interest in the hotlaps competition this time around so I'm going to postpone the remaining events until sometime next year. Stay tuned, we will be back, just taking a short break.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Mega! One of the long-awaited tracks for our sim!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Is the link for Mexico 2016 still working for everyone else? Seems to be an issue for me. Can someone repost if not please?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
I wouldn't be surprised if there's some weird legacy behaviour in the "multi-driver" mode you're using that isn't patched by GPxPatch - it's not a commonly used mode I think. Maybe something Rene can take a look at if he sees this. But I would conduct your experiments using single player mode with GPxPatch set to the "new behaviour", it's a "by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
It's the physics file that causes this problem, it has been discussed before. Try looking at, for example, the GP4 Central 2018 Mod, which does not have this issue.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
What length races are you doing with these tests?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Certainly seems like you're on to something. I guess the next step is to go to the extreme ends of the ranges and really confirm whether there is something in these values that causes a Player vs AI difference. Ideally I'd want to engineer a situation where it's actually harder for the Player off the line than in the original game, because the AI can be over-cautious into T1 andby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Good advice Neil thanks. This is something that is easily added to any CSM mod by adding the Remove2GBLimit.cap file to the Data/Patch folder - highly recommended to anyone using CSM. I include it as part of every GP4 Central mod as standard.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
These are great! Thanks!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
QuoteCaOss Only 20 pilots recognize me I don't think any of the F1 drivers would recognize me!! There were only 20 drivers in 2016, that is why there are 20 drivers in the 2016 mod. Were you expecting more or less?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
I have no major issues on Windows 10. But I'm curious about whether a modern GP4 mod can be done without Tweaker so I'm going to experiment with that...by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Have you tried the GP4 Central version of GP4? It does not require installation and comes pre-packaged with the 9.6 patch, decrypted no-cd .exe and GPxPatch, ready to go. Using that I have no problems at all on Windows 10.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Anyone else find a satisfactory solution to the TeamEditor crashes? It's really annoying crashing all the time with these modern heavy cars!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Hmm this is interesting. I've always noticed some apparent slow-down (even though the PO stays below 100%) and never known what to suspect. It might be interesting to see what happens if we eliminate Tweaker from a modern mod and see how GP4 behaves....by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Doug for the excellent season opening venue and it's a familar face on the top step, Jorge taking the opening win ahead of JLM and myself using up my Ferrari early again! Thanks to everyone who participated. Next up another fictional high-speed blast at the Boromo Superveloz.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
I recommend to use GPxTrack to install tracks rather than TSM - see here for how to do that:by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Those AI behaviour problems you're posting look more like because you've modded the game physics or performance, rather than a problem with the CC-lines. Try reverting to a vanilla version of the game and checking the behaviour again.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Sorry guys, just realised that the hotlaps replays were not being saved due to a permissions issue - please can everyone re-upload their replays (no need to do a new lap, just upload the same replay again) so that the files will be saved. Thanks and sorry for the mistake!by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
If you want to have shorter races but still have pitstops try this: Rather than reducing the race distance using the in-game race options, edit the settings.ini file to reduce the number of laps for a 100% distance instead. Then, in the Magic Data, edit the pit strategy (lines 104-127) to map the pit strategies to the new lap count. Laps=10 Name=Monza Country=Italy Adjective=Italianby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
No. The track Magic Data contains separate values for: 1) the amount of fuel added in the tank at the start of a stint, and also 2) the fuel consumption rate. It is the job of the Magic Data author to make sure those 2 are roughly aligned so that the car consumes fuel at the correct rate. As an example, modern F1 cars have a lower fuel consumption thanks to the hybrid formula, so they nby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
The new season is underway - you can join in using either the CSM or Non-CSM version so it is open to all! First up is a high-speed thrash around the Australian outback at AUS-Doug's Jangka-Mardarni.by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Just out of interest can you post your full performance file? Have you been modding the min/max braking ranges as well?by TomMK - Grand Prix 4
Announcing Hotlaps Season 6 at GP4 Central Let's do some more hotlaps! The GP4 Central Hotlaps Championship is back. In our previous season we followed the real F1 circus across the first 8 venues of the real F1 season. This time I want to focus on highlighting some of the other fantastic track-building skills of the GP4 community, so we'll be racing on a variety of fictional and hisby TomMK - Grand Prix 4
