I don't dislike him at all. For a start, he's obviously a decent bloke, which is always good to see. While Raikkonen was shoving the Malaysian marshals around, Ralf patted the guy who helped him on the back when his car broke down. I also think he's very quick, but yes, he is too inconsistent. Quite simply, he hasn't been good enough so far this year. Montoya always starts thby _Alex_ - F1
Well there have now been three pretty spectacular rear tyre failures (all Michelins!). Perhaps Michael had a point.by _Alex_ - F1
Michael has a closed mind regarding other forms of motor racing I have to admit that I really can't see what your point is in accusing Schumacher of having "a closed mind regarding other forms of motor racing". What I would say, however, is that just the other day he took a ride with Solberg in the Imprezza WRC car. While it was pretty secretive and I don't think any commentsby _Alex_ - F1
Marco1, I've noticed posts on this forum from you in the past, most of them factually incorrect; you are very ignorant. Montoya is far more a racing driver than most of the current grid put together. Example - Mario Andretti was a racer, Michael Schumacher is not. LOL. You have the audacity to claim that Michael Schumacher is not a racer moments after you have accused somebody of being ignby _Alex_ - F1
Toyota make me laugh, all that money, all the publicity and the drivers that can get the job done and they are still struggling! They don't make me laugh, they make me cry. It doesn't look good for F1. If Toyota can't even make it with their massive budget, what hope do the minnows have? I really want to see Toyota doing well, because I like them, and I like the drivers. I thinkby _Alex_ - F1
Wonder what people would be saying right now if that it had been Schumi doing that? Hmmm. Can't help thinking the same thing! If you read the thread, Webber's move has been lightly brushed aside by the people who would have torn Michael apart for the same thing, with comments such as "there's no excuse" which have no subsequent elaboration. I guess we just assume that Weby _Alex_ - F1
I'm not getting involved in this argument, but what I would say is that Montoya drove very well and got a commendable second place. He should not however, blame Rubens for holding him up on purpose. Who does this guy think he's kidding? He may have been held up (although I don't think he was to any great extent), but that isn't necessarily Rubens's fault, because he wasn&by _Alex_ - F1
That was a good race. Webber is just fantastic. He's really becoming quite like Schumacher, pulling some exciting and aggressive overtaking and defending moves, and overall being quite exceptional (apart from the spin, which was a bit silly). And at last, my favourite two drivers are on the podium! Go Button! Brilliant drive from Jenson.by _Alex_ - F1
I don't get it. The people who say that Ralf has no talent are more often than not the same people who (over) rate Montoya. Ralf has proved on countless occasions that he's easily a match for JPM. So in saying Ralf has no talent, they're hardly making Montoya look very special.by _Alex_ - F1
expecially at the end of the session when schuey would go out and beat hakkinen, then hakkinen would make his last run and retake pole, then schumacher would pip him again etc. I must concede that the Suzuka 2000 qualifying session was the most tense and thrillingly exciting session I've ever seen, albeit followed closely by the 2003-format Italian GP session. Michael and Mika just kept piby _Alex_ - F1
err not so.. The car has to be stationary.. any forward momentum gives a driver advantage I'm not sure if that is what Vader meant. Basically, I driver is not allowed to cross the end of his grid mark before the lights go out, and he is not allowed to be moving as the lights go out. So if a driver moves forwards before the lights go out, he will be OK so long as he stops again before crossiby _Alex_ - F1
Massa is still a little untidy - but Sato is supreme. I've always rated Sato, and as the year goes on, I think he'll get better and better. BAR have two of the finest drivers on the grid in my opinion.by _Alex_ - F1
Well, I wasn't going to suffer to disgrace this thread by posting in it - highly constructive and mature as it is - but I'm so flattered to see my name on the list of "fanboyz", that I couldn't help it! I have one possible point of contention (if you don't mind, Morbid, thread mastermind and all that ). I was always under the impression that my opinions were basedby _Alex_ - F1
Yes, and its comments like that that make me worry about the state of forumla one some times Really? Why? well I hope you enjoy it Alex because a lot of people won't be watching anymore I'm well aware of this. When I went in to school this morning, my friends took the piss because they'd heard the result, and they think I watch, with massive enthusiasm, the dullest sport on theby _Alex_ - F1
Dislike. IMO Dave Richards's idea is far superior.by _Alex_ - F1
Cheers LS, I do appreciate your comments regarding my posts.by _Alex_ - F1
but for diehard fans like on this forum, would understandably feel like **** after another win to that scumbag. Ah, OK. The diehard fans hate Schumacher? Interesting philosophy. Well, I just hope Michael continues to pulverise the opposition - just to piss you off. All the time people make stupid comments like the one above, I get more pleasure from seeing him win.by _Alex_ - F1
Webber is a Flav driver in a Jagaur. I would say hes got even less chance of being in that williams than DC and JV ever have. Webber has far more chance of landing a Williams drive than those two. Just because he's contracted to Renault it does not mean Briatore won't let him go - after all, Montagny is a far more likely candidate for the Renault seat which you seem to be implying (corby _Alex_ - F1
I wouldn't direct link to UkF1's videos, Lanky-Lad, I don't think he's very happy about people doing that! Perhaps you should edit your post to be a link to his site.by _Alex_ - F1
Everybody is forgetting, of course, that David Duchovny would play himself (e.g. Heinz-Harald Frentzen, being as they are one and the same person!).by _Alex_ - F1
The 2004 Grid Bids season is under way! You can register (or use your last year's username if you have one) now and make your picks for Melbourne. There is a comprehensive explanation of how to play the game on the main page. I recommend this game, it's great fun.by _Alex_ - F1
... poof! The "SCHUEY UNIMPRESSED BY MCLAREN" thread vanishes into thin air. Magic!by _Alex_ - F1
LOL yeah I remember that DC commemorative plate from sniffpetrol.com - brilliant!by _Alex_ - F1
I'd hardly say Montoya is outspoken. Nowhere near the extent that Villeneuve or Irvine was. He's a decent and undeniably charismatic bloke in front of the press, and as far as I can recall, he rarely says things for the sake of saying them, and hardly ever slams other drivers. And I respect him for that. But I've got to agree with what Oleg is saying. No matter how much you likeby _Alex_ - F1
I shan't pretend I'm up to date with Ralf's relationship with the staff in the Williams team, but the fact remains that Ralf has not alienated himself on a professional level from the team.by _Alex_ - F1

Well, we know things like Michael Schumacher makes the effort to get to know every member of the Ferrari team personally (asking after their children, things like that) which is why (on top of his professionalism) he is held in such high regard throughout the whole of the Scuderia. And it's almost inconceivable that Michael would behave towards his own team like Montoya did there. You are rby _Alex_ - F1
Ok, Ok, it's a model, but it's a fabulous model! More precisely, it's a 1:18 scale model of the 2003 Le Mans winning Bentley Speed 8 (signed by victors Mark Blundell and Guy Smith!), courtesy of Autosport magazine.
