Since we're still waiting for the last bids, lets put this time to use. Post here or shoot me a PM if you want to participate in the first tests of the season. Let me know also if you want to test for power or reliability. For these pre-season tests, you can choose which two of your three drivers should take part. Remember you can only participate in the test session if you have at leastby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
No, you got the guy you wanted. It just slipped my mind.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
The second round of bids is now over. First post and available drivers have been updated accordingly. Still need a #2 driver for Ferrari, #2 and test driver for McLaren and the whole driver lineup for Jaguar. I won't put a deadline this time since we can't start either way before we get those bids. So Parachki and KimiHeikki, send me those asap.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Can you send me bids for Sauber's open spots as quickly as possible? The deadline is in 30 minutes but I'm willing to wait a bit longer.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the heads up. It was ok on my desktop but my phone cut it off too. Now you should see it.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
First round of bids is now done. I didn't get any messages from Dom but he can still join and I think he can still take one of BAR or Sauber. The info in the first post has been updated with accepted bids. The second post containing available drivers and tehcnical directors is also updated. The second round of bids is underway! The deadline is Monday October 12th 5PM. On this round you caby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Since I haven't heard back from Dom yet and he only recently signed up for this, I'm extending the deadline to Thurday 9PM CET. However, if Dom responds before that, the second round of bids starts after I get everything sorted out and it'll be open until Sunday since I'll be away for the weekend. Everyone else has made their bids.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Only teams missing bids are the team Dom chooses and Ferrari. Otherwise we're ready for round 2 to get started.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, pick either one and PM me your first bids.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Well you could do that I guess. Maybe I wasn't thinking enough about how the loopholes in the rules can be exploited to maximum effect. I would hope though that managers would play fair. This shouldn't be that serious lol. The main thing is to have fun. No, I wasn't going to implement that perf boost rule here. I have determined the max potential ability for every driver and theby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
At this point, reliability is only determined by engine. The bhp and reliability values will fluctuate between the seasons so one engine wouldn't always be the best. One change we could do for next season is that brakes effect reliability too since if I remember correctly, there's brake failures in GP4. Maybe technical directors could effect it too somewhat. I got the takeover idea fby Syvis - Grand Prix 4

I was thinking on using the real liveries the team had during each season as I have zero skills for editing any of that. Helmets shouldn't be too hard to change around but obviously they won't match the color of the cars. If someone wants to edit those I'd be more than happy to receive them and put them in the game but I don't see myself doing that. Yeah, you can just basicby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, I won't make any big changes for this season as that would just muddy the waters. The prize money is the only thing I consider changing for now. I'd like all of you to chime in on that. I want to strike a balance between realism and fun so that you can build a team like Minardi to a race winning team but you shouldn't have one of the biggest budgets with Minardi after the firby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
I didn't think anyone would abuse the pay driver system like that but it would probably be better if I added it to the rules that you can't fire pay drivers. You're right that the current prize money system might be a bit high. What do the other managers think? Should I lower them by 20 million or so across the board? I don't want them lowered too much either since the smalby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
That's what they do now but I'm open to suggestions for coming seasons. Whatever ideas you have, don't be shy to talk about those. The more fun this is for you guys, the more fun this will be for me.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
They add to your team's base bhp. I now realized I forgot to add technical directors part to rules.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
The salaries next to driver's name is their minimum salary so for Schumacher for example your lowest bid can be 16.5 million. If you offer him that and someone else offers him 17 million, he'll sign the higher offer. The same goes for technical directors. For parts, the cost is fixed so you don't have to go any higher or lower. Hope that clears things up.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4

Now we have six managers. I'll assign teams at random later today and I'll create a new thread for the first season!by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Yeah, I was thinking that. If a teams financial situation is bad, there could be some offers to buy the team which the teams manager can then accept or decline (for example Red Bull could buy some other team than Jaguar). We now have five confirmed managers in this. I'm still waiting for natasp, giomich and Soutsen to confirm. We would need one more to get going.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Parachki is still in. Would six managers be enough to start for Soutsen? Would you like to join, John?by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
I'd be down to start the thing with six managers but we really would need to get the people back that showed interest earlier.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
JohnWarrington4 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > , > page=1 > > There were a few successful seasons back in the > day before interest sadly fell away Yeah, I saw that. That's what mostly inspired me to give it a go here but it seems like there isn't interest.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
Are natasp, Macca, Parachki and giomich still in? I have a friend who'll probably join too if I ask so that would make six. We could start with six managers if some would manage two teams. Then when we got this going, maybe it would get some more people to join.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
I'm bumping this thread once to see if there's more interest this time around.by Syvis - Grand Prix 4
As I had some spare time, I wrote up rules for the game to maybe get more people interested or to run off even they few that are interested. Feedback and suggestions will be appreciated. 1. Teams Teams entering the 2004 F1 Championship are Ferrari, Williams, McLaren, Renault, BAR, Sauber, Jaguar, Toyota, Jordan, Minardi and Arrows. Teams will be given out to managers at random at the start oby Syvis - Grand Prix 4
