Alonso didn't fit in McLaren, as simple as that. Lewis fitted perfectly as it is the only place he knows. There were some not very nice details from McLaren to Alonso (as in Sepang Alonso's wife was watching the race in Renault box ( :-|) ) because she didn't felt confortable in McLaren's one because of the sense of left aside and maybe a better understanding would have been cby Ali - F1

It is ok for me, but it is important to put things in the right place from the beginning. I mean, I don't expect Schumacher to be world champion. In fact, I don't expect him to beat Rosberg. When Jordan returned to play in 2002 with Washington he was already 40 (or close) so I think people was not expecting him to dominate so he did a decent job for his age without being the same. According to team bosses, Vettel is the best 2009 driver. In the list showed in this link (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/80222) we can see the top ten: I have to say I'm pretty surprised. - Where in the hell is Rosberg????? - Hamilton third??? ahead of Webber??? Ok, first release of the performance editor: I hope you find it useful.by Ali - Grand Prix 4
It will be a java program (not common in GP4, but it is independent as it only reads performance files and does not deal with gp4.exe at all), has some features to modify and test data and finally it saves the performance file as it originally was, a txt file. So no fancy stuff with dll or anything similar. The main point was to generate performance files with some expected behavior once in game.by Ali - Grand Prix 4
There is no magic on that. I'm not predicting the exact time a driver will get in a certain track. As I said, I only obtain the relation between driver performances, that's why the top time is exactly the same, because it is the reference. From that point I get, I get f.e. 1.00000 (top), 1.0012321, 1.0014326, 1.0017685, etc... so I just multiply the provided value for each one and I geby Ali - Grand Prix 4
There is already a lap predictor, and I have to say it works quite nicely... In this graph, left column are GP4 real times, right column are the predicted values with the tool using the same performance file (the top value is the same as I need a reference, the pole sitter).by Ali - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, I'm writing a performance files editor. Initially I wanted something fairly trivial for myself, but it got bigger and bigger and I will post it somewhere in case anyone is interested to use it. I'll have it in a few days.by Ali - Grand Prix 4
GP4 is hardly beatable, only needs a few more tweaks here and there, but overall, is the best with huge difference. In fact, one of these days I was running in Indianapolis, from 2nd place of the grid, got 1st in the first turn with Schumacher (2006 season) just behind me and he has been behind not farest than 2 seconds and not closer than 0.5 for 50 laps, matching the pace with quite realistiby Ali - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys, after playing many races in GP4, I got a little bit stuck. The thing is that a car behavior from user perceptive is the same for every car you drive. Only the power is different. Currently, all F1 engines are quite tied in power, probably all of them are around 740 - 770 so it does not make much difference. So using some realistic values, I would probably sit in a Force India (Mercedes)by Ali - Grand Prix 4
WorldSBK is fine, but remember, the last legend in SBK, Bayliss, struggled a lot in MotoGP. Currently the level in SBK is quite poor (no big names) but the level in MotoGP is very high, Rossi - Lorenzo - Stoner - Pedrosa are one step ahead of the rest, we'll see...by Ali - Other Motorsports
I think the user car has a default power. Try with GPxPatch (http://www.xs4all.nl/~rsdi/gpxpatch.html) tool if you are not using it .In the second tab, there is a checkbox where you can specify to use specific team car power and definitely you should see a difference (not only in top speed, but also when accelerating, etc...).by Ali - Grand Prix 4

I did a few tests to really find out what that "inconsistency" was about. Take this example: Lewis Hamilton,16370,100,16240,100 So, the basic performance is 16240 for quali, but the 100 is a variable to be ADDED to that number, so the bigger the better, just that you can't be sure about the real performance (sometimes will be 16260, others 16300...), but it will be within tby Ali - Grand Prix 4
Massa's momentum is away. He had his chance because of Kimi's lack of motivation(or whatever) last year but this is hardly going to happen with Alonso so he will probably not have another chance to be world champ...by Ali - F1
Massa had a few good races in 2008 (Hungaroring was great...despite the engine, Valencia...) but he also had a few crap races (Japan, Sepang, Melbourne) so the champinship was lost much before. It is childish to complain about that. I could agree that the result may have been another one in Singapore, no doubt, but that fact did not decide the champ. It would if Lewis and Massa had 120 points aby Ali - F1

After the youtube video of the game, little else can be said. It looks like the PS2 F1 series game where you overtake 10 cars in a lap and get off at the first turn, going back to the last position and overtake again 10 cars in that lap and so on... Come on, GP4 is very difficult to beat. In my last race, I did about 10 laps in a row during a race between 1.26s and 1.27s matching the pace ofby Ali - Other Games

First at all, Button deserves the title. He won when he had the best car, fair enough! The fact that he is not the best driver of the grid doesn't mean he does not deserve the title. I don't think that many people is going to say that. What it is true, is that could be a title like MotoGP 2006 Hayden title, after this season, Button could end nowhere again next year and never come bby Ali - F1
