creating the pitlane is not that much harder than the rest of the track, really tjust try it, just follow all the steps and you can not fail.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
you get masstudio and export al the bits of the track (it's divided in pieces) then you import al those pieces in zmodeler using the f1-2002 filter.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4

hm, sounds strange, i'll pm you my email, you can send it and i'll have a look.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
hm, i could do that maybe, but in my honest opinion, the zmodeler part is very limited, you only need two buttons, and those are specified in the tutorial, there is absolutely 0% chance to screw that part up. when you've managed to create a full track (maybe 2) you will be experienced enough to edit a existing track. But i am considering both you ideasby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
yup, tom is right.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
looks cool quote from the manual of 3deditor: 1 unit = 16 feet, (smallest) sectorby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
np, you pointed out a flaw in my tutorial, and thats greatby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
a track where you dont need a map is just a dull track :+by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
difficult? Yust follow the tutorial, i've seen people i've hever heard from before create a basic layout within a day of the first release.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
euhm, go alesi, i dont want to be a total ass, but have you even read the tutorial? Cause what you're doing is not the way to add kerbs, and it's very simply described in it. just press add > kerbs, and folow the instructions i may have cleared it a bit up, so it's for v0.51 but now you know, my apologies done, get the new version just update from the same link as all theby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
sounds like a great idea to me :+by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
you mean the popup box doesn't show up? hm , it surely should. update as told before, i made the tutorial compatible with the latest 3deditor version, and corrected some other stuff, including a mistake/misunderstanding of my own, wich takes about 15 minutes of the time to make a track, so thats good news. (you will still need 60 minutes i guess, probably more, as my circuit 01 (yes thaby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4

you will only move one sector, after that you also move the second sector, that will "unstretch" it.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
hm, could be, how do i know wich ones are needed?by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
thanks for all the kind words guys, i really apreciate being called a alien ;+ i'll move around some trackside objects to help you with the braking points, if you want you can report other bugs you find, i'll see if i can do something about some of them. It will be after miodnight again though, summer means drinking and swimming, so not much time for gp4.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
fixed, no more missing pitcrew in the readmeby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
hehe, well i like bumps :+ it's a nice challenge trying to brake late, and not crahing out of the corner because of them. m, the missing pitcrew then was due to my own bad gp4 install, even betterby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
>>>>>>>>> <<<<<<<<<< after the release of 3deditor 14.7 i said i would make a quick one, here it is, built in about 2 hours, uses some grafical stuff out of original melbourne to keep it a bit alive, but this circuit 01 is top secret and as nobody knows where it really is (some say it's inside area 51) no fans have managed to get tby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
why shoot gui if i make a quick circuit? :? btw, i'm done within 30mins form nowby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
euhm, well if i have your email your on the list, but i;'ve checked my pm's i havent got one from you i guess. you can still give me yoru email, and you'll get the mail others have allready started, but thats no problem.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
looks pretty damn good, i'll see if i can make some time to test it later this evening (night) lets see if i can make a fantasy track witin 30 minutes now, and make it fully working just for fun (should be after midnight though, and i hope beer doesn;t have a bad effect on my skills :+ )by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
well that becoming black happens to the "rotate" button, this has been allready several version actually, but it's not that big of a problem to me. The loading window is not a ghosst, i can move my view, it stays where it is, i can also move and resize it, but i cant close it using the X.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
hm, this makes 60 minutes to create a track into 45 minutes :P And yes, i did write this in my tutorial, seems time for a new version, hope i can find the time this week. Btw, is the slicing definatly the solution for the bins? as Shuttle says he aslo needed diferent values for the bins? or did you experience no problems at all? One other thing, i sometimes (50% of the time) have the loading wby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
wtf lo2k, how the hell did i mis this somewhere? i always thought i had to make every object into a seperate gp4/3ds file and reimport them all one by one. I just did what you said, and works perfect, this saves me a 30mins of screwing around. I'll go sit in a dark corner in my room :Xby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
yes. it would be enough to have a 3d programms thats can export al objects in a scene as seperate objects. i tried 3dsmax, it can export a selected object from a scene, thats definitly an improvement over zmodeler.by <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
i was just wondering a bit lo2k. you know have a descent .gp4 knowledge right? would it not be possible now to have a multiple scene import of gp4 objects? So we can totaly cut out the zmodeler part in gp4 editting? (wel, for the basic stuff that is?) great news about the bin, finalyby <Maverick> - Grand Prix 4
