I'm curious. Does the topic title have anything to do with Conan O'Brien segment bearing the same name ?by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Very nice read, many thanks for putting everything together ! I didn't notice the xbox gamepad when I browsed through the GPI files, i'm definitely going to have a look !by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Indeed. To simply update the wheels seen from the cockpit, select the tyre shape you want and rename it to match the original filename. Then replace the thread tex files in the tyres subfolder. (starting with michelin and bridgestone)by zifox - Grand Prix 4

What do you mean by weird results ? Which files have you replaced ? Have you followed the steps in the readme, or are trying to replace only the base wheel shapes onby zifox - Grand Prix 4
Each object on the track has a viewing distance, over whcih it is ont displayed. Check the attributse of the objets you have added.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
My question may be dumb, but what exactly do users have to do when they register to be in a season ? I've read the main posts about the GPGSL organisation and I don't get it ?by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Amazing ! I really love the shapes of this era, and Hill in his Arrows. Thanks.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Awesome features you managed to create ! How the hell could you reverse engineer the animation file format ?by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Here's a full pack containing the modified tyre shapes and matching textures. Screenshots taken using the Bridgestone shape in the cockpit view.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
I'm quite satisfied by the visual in-game, I'm just wondering if the Michelin wheel shape is too flat ? In a way it's nice because you can really spot the difference between cars when using track side cameras, but on the other hand it feels almost concave when compared to the Bridgestone one.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
I've done a few tweaks to the mesh (reduced the depth of the grooves) and made a more "flat" shape for michelin. Also I made a texture for Michelin monsoon tyres. What do you think ?by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Is there a way to extend the tweak to be able to have specific wheel models from inside the cockpit view ? Not team specific, but at least one for each tyre brand ? Side request: I'm very curious on how the hack works, I'd be very grateful if someone could explain it to me.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
I've redone the textures, here's how it looks like. (I have yet to smooth the normals on the mesh) For intermediates, I got inspired by Michelin's "shallow wet" tyres as they have nice grooves that fits the mesh in the middle.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Goddamnit, i've been fooled ! Finally found the reason for the glitch. The issue comes from the bridgestone slick tyre texture ! It's different from the michelin one and the grooves are not in the same place. Since we can't have separate meshes for the internal view I'll have to modify the brigestone texture so it matches the mesh.by zifox - Grand Prix 4

I have a question about the tyres/rims pack. Can I assume that there are only two 3D models, one for Bridgestone and the other one for Michelin ? The difference between teams is only on textures ? I'm asking cuz I'd like to modify the models to add the grooves, they feel a bit flat.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Damn these shots are wonderful !by zifox - Grand Prix 4

No idea, haven't used WadUpdater in years. You should use WadController instead, it's a new very effective and easy to use Wad tool.by zifox - Grand Prix 4

Never had this issue, and I play with vsync on also. (but I have an Radeon card) What are your current FPS rate and screen refresh rate ? Do they match ? Is your screen rate a multiple of your FPS rate ingame ?by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone. 20 ans after first running the game, i discover files I know nothing about ! I've been doing to cleaning in my gpsaves folder, and noticed I have ".ti*" files, with name & date matching my championship season saves. (saved a file season.cha, i also have season.tia) Any idea what they are used for ?by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Good ol' fashion 2001: I love how packed the cars are during the first few corners.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
It's working, thank you very must for pointing us to this backup !by zifox - Grand Prix 4
Glorious shots, as always.by zifox - Grand Prix 4
It's been down for years, i've given up on it. What do you need it for? Maybe gp3edit could do it ? (If it's editing race results, it won't, sadly)by zifox - Grand Prix 4
