Thanks Matt. I've just completed the set. It will soon be available at my site. I've also updated the alpha's so the car looks a bit better ingame.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
I'm creating a 2003 season livery pack atm. As far as I can see, it will feature 7 different versions: Australia->Monaco (black frontwing supports) Europe (white back of rear wing) Canada (Honda at back of rear wing) Germany->Japan (sina at frontwing supports) NT: France Britain USA Let me know when you find any other sponsor or color changby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Neil, I thought you'd be happy I hope your textures still fit. The point about the making the other two nt-versions is that we should do a complete BAR season. But hey, they didn't have as much livery changes as Jordan. It's the time for surprises, maybe Santa is a BAR fan and will throw us a nice surprise...by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Looks better indeed. Found the same bug last month in almost all our work. Damn gp4master.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
QuoteNo more 2003 Track Specific cars?? Awww! I'm a bit tired right now... Will have to get my strength back for next season! Todt wants the F2004 be on track at Albert Park, Eddie has a EJ14 by then and I'm sure Williams will be there with the FW26by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
hmmm, I personally don't use trackspecific wads (I know...) The last time I used it it worked fine. Here's how it should be: Create a cars.wad for each track (i.e. cars_melborne2001.wad) Make sure in gpxtrack.ini, inside the gpxpdata directory, it says "EnableTrackSpecificcarsWad=1" Be sure you have the latest gpxpatch: v3.53by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Matt, Thanks, I've updated the JFW25Japan. Thanks Buzz, I appreciate your nice words. The BAR has had some updates too. The nose, sidepods and rear wing have been updated. Don't expect too much of it, it just looks a bit more realistic. We've also done a NT version (USA). Both BAR's will be available in the gp4.gamer.nl 2003 season pack, as well as our Ferrari's, the FWby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
The name of the file isn't correct. The download link says ferrariF2003-GAv2.zip while the file name is F2003-GAv2.zip. You can change it in the addressbar of your browser. Post Edited (12-05-03 13:09)by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Known Bugs : none, car is perfect are you sure? Great car BTW. Both textures and shape!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Johnny, You need to install gpxpatch. Create cars.wads like cars_melborne2001.wad and put all Australian versions into that one. You can do that for each track and gpxpatch will let gp4 use the right cars.wad. You can find more info on this subject at SDIby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
You can find the right Ferrari at gpgames.org. Some files are at Geocities, most are at lycos. Please use to find the right files. We will shortly be moving to another host where all files will be available at high dl speed.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
OK I've just flipped the HP logo on the Monaco down to Hungary cars. Also did it for the cockpit view textures. There's no problem with the lower lods, that's just GP4by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
The rar of Fw25Austria is repaired and already available. All hi-res jordan_3.tex file of the Jordans were broken. GP4 read them as 512x512 while the tga's are 256x256. I've fixed it and they are uploading as I'm typing. thanks for the feedback and the nice words ouch never mentioned the HP switch before... I will update the cars again Post Edited (12-03-03 19:54)by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
thanks guys! @b-tone FW25: SanMarino=Austria Italy=USA The rest of them are unique EJ13: All are unique @paulo3d For non-IE users: Wait 5 seconds after the Lycos message appears, you will be redirected. I'm looking for a host/webspace right now to get the site back together again. Anyone has a good idea?by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
As you probably noticed we have been quite busy updating our cars. We completed the FW25 season set, just finished repairing the latest bugs. At www.gp4cardesign.tk you can find them under the season updates button. The car from the carshape section will be replaced by the Japanese version. All the Jordan liveries are online as well (@ season updates). The corrupted tex's are repaired nowby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
believe me, it's a fantastic car!by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Viper, I will do that.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Well my aqua-friend, there's a peeping hole just in the Z of Allianzby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
release dates, that's just driving with slicks on ice... here's a wip screenie: The beautiful chimneys are made by my friend Nicola. As you see, this is the Hockenheim version of the fw25. I'm planning on creating the other versions as well.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Bojan, I regret the fact I was still focussing on the standard gp4 cockpit positions. But I will put it right...by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
That's exactly what I mean! I had to adjust the nose and airbox to fit the car into gp4's ferrari slot. Next time I will just make a car and adjust gp4 to it. I am currently updating my Williams and after that I will rework the ferrari. The sidepods and nose will be updated and I'll move the cockpit backward.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Please don't compare cars from different games.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Hey Spikey, you know where to find me :Dby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
@supergogeta, I have access to Ferrari's media center, but thanks anyway. To all: Thanks for all the feedback, nice words and support. I never thought building a Ferrari would awaken so much emotions. (and a huge amount of replies) I will not update the car for a while. All these little things you all mention may make the car look a bit better but they're not life-threatening. I'mby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
varun, That's the feedback I need. Nose is made a little short to fit the game's front wheel position. Some other parts are adjusted as well, just to fit the car nicely into gp4.by _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
Thanks PJD, for your kind words. I never use the cameditor to change positions. All the cars in my wad were made around the default positions. I've uploaded the car to gpgames.org today. It's version 1.1. From gp4.gamer.nl you can dl version 1, it contains a corrupt pitcrew tex so don't install that tex-file or if you have already, delete your anim.wad and rename the anim.wad.bakby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
The rollbar is stretched to fit the gp4-helmetposition. Not everyone knows how to change the helmet position There's no need to change the helmet and steering positions. I didn't change them. The sidepods may be a tiny bit low but the ones Viper has been showing have a dip (or a curve) that isn't there. The sidepods go smoother down to the back of the car almost in a straight linby _Erix_ - Grand Prix 4
