This hasn't had any confirmation from either McLaren or Mercedes, and there also hasn't been any mention of rebranding as Mercedes only.by J i m - F1

Did you take your legendary tent pitchung along Glyn? I watched from Club mostly, and they were having a job getting on the power. Quite a few spins at the vale chicane as well. And Jan Lammers kept on going outside of the white lines onto the tarmarc run off... not just a wheel... the whole car and then some space. Ol De Crasheris copied him after a while. I was quite stunned at how slow tby J i m - Other Motorsports
Webber is probably the better choice to have in that car, but I'd agree that they seem to expect far too much from Klien.by J i m - F1

The "European" Grand Prix ought to rotated anyway. But obviously hasn't been for donkeys years. Imola can't be changed back to pre 1994, simply because it would be too fast, and the stream behind Tambaurello would make an adequate run off very difficult and extremely expensive to do. Which is one reason there is a chicane there today. Places like Spa and Silverstone faceby J i m - F1
I think there is a heck of lot more to being a professional racing driver, than many people here might think. Especially at the level of F1. 1st, you have have to consider that they need to spend several hours every day in the Gym, to either stay fit, or maintain comparable levels of fittness to their rivals. Then there is constant traveling, mostly to do with press/public relations. The spby J i m - F1
Silly season ftw. All kinds of crazy rumours will be floating around the paddock.by J i m - F1
As far as I remember of 1997, Hill in his Arrows was rarley near a pole position. He got 3rd on the grid at Hungary and 4th at Jerez, both of thoses instances better than Berger. Berger was on Pole for Hockenheim, but Hill's Arrows Yamaha had no way near enoguh grunt to challenge for a good spot there. --- Or are you refering to Monaco 1996, where i think Berger spun after the tunneby J i m - F1
Crash helmet livery is just not it used to be. Back in the day the Driver would stay with the same livery with only minor alterations for their whole career. You instantly knew who it was by the helmet. Think of the classics... Senna, Mansell, Hill, etc Today the drivers seem to change livery more often than they brush their teeth, and it's just crap.by J i m - F1
It's a tad tricky to follow, and ever so great on the eyes. I can cope with the colours, but maybe it would be better if it was a bit more tidy and organised.by J i m - Off-Topic
I think it's stickers, but it looks very "wheatherd"... actually it's awesome, probably the best livery in F1 atm.by J i m - F1

It gets rather boring doesn't it? We can only apolagise (*@ I can't spell#@ ) for a blantant hi-jacking of a thread that bears nowt to do with this forum. I'll put my two pennies worth in for what's it worth....if anything. It's important to appreciate that most people have some sort of difficulty or disability or are connected with someone who does. Yeah, M1 is having an extra lane put in. Imo for people coming that way, it's still the best option, but follow the signs for the A5, and travel to Silverstone along the A5, through Dunstable, Milton Keynes and turn right just before Towcestor.by J i m - F1
I don't think Silverstone are overall responsible for the support programme. The Porche Super Cup and that What ever it's called Masserati race are official F1 support events I think, I can just about live with the Porches, but the massers annoy me a bit. The historic sports cars are fun though. Gp2 is a bonus.by J i m - F1
I think "chrildren" will have to be accompanied by an Adult in any case. Remember Motorsport is dangerous, is says so on the back of the ticket.by J i m - F1
If it rains, and make no mistake it probably will, then there will be less running. Unless it's a scheduled wet tyre test the teams tend to not do much running in wet conditions. There are many more dry races than wet races, and the teams can't really learn much from the wet conditions, mainly because the parts and tests they intend to run will not gain valid data in wet conditions.by J i m - F1
@ Wirah The gates open at either 5 or 6 AM, not sure which, since I normally don't arrive unitl 7 ish. But I plan to be there at gate opening time on race day this year. The nearest trainstation I think in Northampton. And there are 2 park n ride schemes, one for traffic from the M1, Six fields stadium, Northampton, and one for M40 traffic, Hinton in the hedges Airfield. ------by J i m - F1

It's free. Or has at least been free each time in my experience. There might even be a temp go-kart track behind the pit-g stand. There normally is for the main test.by J i m - F1
Yeah. Unfortuate, but that's the risk you take with a Grandstand. A grandstand only guarentees you a seat on race day, unfortuately it does not guarentee you a good view, as I have found out to my cost a few times. This year I plan to stick to general addmission, get there at gate opening time, take a folding chair and attempt to get to the frontish of either chapel or exit of club.by J i m - F1
Thats a slight myth I think. I think the General Admission tickets for Monaco are indeed cheaper than Silverstone, but you still have to consider travelling costs, accomdation and remember this is Monaco, it would send most riff raff like myself bankrupt, plus eating is extortinatley expensive. Even in Nice I belive the prices go up becaue of the influx they get from the Grand prix. -------by J i m - F1
Public access is free. Always has been in my experience. The official areas open to the public is just the Luffield terrace. In reality you can "legally" view from the little gravel carpark between the Abbey chicane and Bridge Corner, the Bridge seated terrace it self, and the Luffield concrete terrrace that runs upto the entry of Woodcote. I belive those were hospitality passes, that include rather more than a chance to walk the pitlane during the lunch hour. I had one with Jordan in 2004, and it included meals, goody bag, chance to meet Pantano, and time in the Jordan Garage. Most team fanclubs offer similar things. I belive Autosport operate something similar to, and possibly silverstone circuit itself it has any capacity left afby J i m - F1
