From a personal point of view, I think most of the field are fairly evenely matched. I'd only really put Schumacher, Alonso and Kim in a group and call them better than the rest. Button is clearly a skilled driver, and more than likely fully capable of winning. At the moment he hasn't won a Grandprix and doesn't nessacarily know how to yet. But he probably will win in the notby J i m - F1
I've been on the road now since 2002, passed my test in December 2001, I did consider putting my mum as named driver of my first car, and she would have agreed, but was anxious of what it might to do her NCB in the event of me stuffing the car. So for that reason I decided to go it alone. The first car I was the registerd keeper off (My sister owned it) was a Yugo! small engine barley a lby J i m - Off-Topic

Please point out where I said that, because as I can not find it, I think I might be blind or something. Killing, for what ever reason is NOT OK, really anyone with bean of common sense would have interpeted what I said in the way I meant it. ---- Anyhoo, here is a paradox for you all. Religion is a hugely controversal subject, and it very often appears to be heart of conflict. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much faith a person has, how much they belive in their God or Gods etc, they can argue all they like, all it amounts to is a whole lot of nothingness. The world is full of evil, greed etc and that is what sparks off wars etc, greed. Religion isby J i m - Off-Topic
I think on reflection and everybody is a genius with hindsight. It would have been better not publicise that we didn't want Math joing V12. (although the staff stand behind that particular decsion and the reasoning behind it). The reaction was fairly predictable, knowing the fuss that has so often followed Math around. It always ends up going round in circles. Perhaps we should have takenby J i m - Off-Topic
Well whatever. Theres little point in arguing about who's blocked from V12, here or on any other forum. We're not out to create flaming anywhere. And it won't change the decsion of V12 Staff. There are reasons for the decsion, time shouldn't wasted in contiunually explaining them elsewhere.by J i m - Off-Topic

You can't really argue with the points Dave Makes. I think part of the problem is for wemen is that there simply many more men in the mix than there are wemen. More Girls need to go-kart. But F1 should be about the best drivers, not what sex they happen to be or not be.by J i m - F1
As great as Rossi is on bikes, F1 really is a different propostion alltogether, even if he has raw pace, it's going to be very difficult to convert race craft from bikes to cars. It would sure be very cool to see him try though.by J i m - F1
I wouldn't have thought they would be many other teams available to Webber. Renault seem to be grooming Kovalainen. Even if Raikkonen went to Ferrari, the new golden boy would be Hamilton. Maybe Toyota or BMW. But really he should stick where he is at Williams and try to turn the situation around.by J i m - F1
No it isn't old news. It was never confirmed at all. Sure some magazines and websites put up some stories that said he was abouted to be announced. But Williams kept tight lipped all the time. Interestingly they still haven't announced it on their website yet. You can only take it as official confirmation when Williams themselves announce it, not joebloggsf1.netby J i m - F1

Looking at how narrow that cockpit looks in the pictures, I surprised Mansell managed to get in them, I'm sure the 1995 Mclaren Mp4/10 was wider! j/k. If Prost isn't racing then, I think Mansell will probably be the favourite. Patrese though was usually pretty good with passive cars, he did very well against Mansell in the 1991 Williams FW14, but suffrered with the active ride suspenby J i m - F1
I wonder how long it will take Murry to say something classic like "and there he goes!" for Mansell or.. "and there is De Cesaris the man who has won more Grandprix than anyone else without actually winning any of them."by J i m - F1
BMW will be midfield. They're expecting to be beaten by Williams whose Cosworth V8 is expected (at least at this stage) to be considerbly stronger than the BMW V8. BMW will do fine though, the team is essentially Sauber, now with a works engine and a few more staff to man the windtunnel. Squadro Toro Roso will probably still be at the tailend. Yes, they will probably have a stronger buby J i m - F1
I don't the actual track or venue is too much danger, I doubt the promoters of the grandprix own the track. But sadly the actual Grandprix is in danger because the promoters have failed to even come close to breaking even on budget, let alone make a profit. Bernie ought to take over the promotion, he'd probably get the revenue from it by stealth. It would be a crying shame to lby J i m - F1
Reminds of when Peter Warr said that Nigel Mansell would never win a Grandprix as long as he had a hole in his arse. But it could go either way.by J i m - F1
Yeah the V8 formula could really shake things up. At the time of writing I belive, Toyota, Honda, Ferrari, BMW and Mercedes have track tested. Renault and Cosworth thus far have only been dyno bench tested. As Damn says the Mercedes look dismal in testing, it was very slow (great sound thouhg imo) but having said that I think that was the first and only time to date it had been track runby J i m - F1
The driver is part of the team, and good car is useless if the driver isn't up to it. Yes there are drivers who beat him F3, like I already stated, and one of them already happens to have completed two seasons in F1.by J i m - F1
Yeah, absolutely. Although I agree it is extremely likely that Rosberg will be put in the race seat alongside Webber. It is only a rumour published by Autosport. Which actually has no basis in sloid verifiyable fact. Williams have not offcially announced him, and no team spokesperson was available to confirm it to the press. Not so much as a Robin singning out side the hq reception offices.by J i m - F1
That's a bit like saying he has no right to be there simply because he has a famous father. The fact is, he's so far in his career delivered.by J i m - F1
There is no doubt in my mind that the fact that Nico is Keke Rosbergs son has helped him a great doubt throughout his career. It has open doors that probably would not have opened for other people. It is also known that Williams rather enjoys having famous names in their cars... Damon Hill, Jacques Villeneuve. They had already tested both Nico, and Nelson Piquet Junior.
