Im not for the race at all but let's not forget Jenson's car was held at gunpoint in Brazil, right? Im just trying to keep this a level playing field and not immediately react to instances. For the 2nd race running I will miss the entire build up including qualifying. However if there is still a race on, I will be able to watch live. Given how Button's seasons going and me beingby chet - F1
On metal strips and Ferrari's endplates, agreed! As for run-offs. We will say different things here, I think we'll agree there needs to be a change, but some people will want more change than others. I for instance like what we have now, if it changed then okay, ill be happy but if not I wont mind. One corner I would change in a hearbeat is Pouhon. With the tarmac run off, for me theby chet - F1
It wasn't too long ago that to see an overtake in F1 was a big race changing moment. We all complained, we all demanded regulation changes and over a very, very long period they came but only seemed to make the racing worse for the most part! We had crazy, un-thought idea's like the CDG wing, and Bernies crazy suggestions of shortcuts. Then in 2009 something pretty magical happened.by chet - F1

I should keep reminding myself, although I hate Horner, there's always a bigger paddock pr*ck. What a complete idiot. The rules were not changed to hinder RedBull, surely we saw last year the Mercedes powered car's, at least Mercedes were the ones who developed their engines to make better use of the rules! Interesting that he has specifically said Vettel needs a certain car. I gby chet - F1
yay or nay? if it's cancelled again you have to ask why on earth it was allowed to get this far WITHOUT cancellation. If it goes ahead, well... make up your own mind about that. I personally do not believe it should go ahead, and although I would not like to associate F1 and politics, it is something that in such a small country, and with such close ties to people within the FIA, andby chet - F1

Webbers the modern Mansell. He won't know he's bust his spine until 2025. Also, first three races, 3 different winners. Last time that happened?by chet - F1
I still dont like casey... and don't think he's the best rider. I think the reason he did not win showed that. I think he's too aggressive sometimes, and it clearly hurt him this time round. As for Rossi, it's looking bleak ! If thing's don't improve in 3-4 races I can see him being off next year to do rally or something else. Unless of course he get's an ofby chet - Other Motorsports
Here's the killer question though, how much blood, sweat and tears will be required? Im sure you can calculate it based on various physical parameters. Either way... GOOD LUCK!by chet - Off-Topic
Something to note. Massa was 4 tenths of Alonso, that was what decided getting into q3 and not. I can remember several occasions where Button has been +0.4 tenths and nearer 0.8 tenths slower than Lewis.. big difference though. The problem Massa faces is that the midfield is once again close. Certainly the lack of EBD has made things in that area of the grid very tight. What it results iby chet - F1
DC could have, and should have given more room in that instance. Massa was not fully alongside, but he was close enough to justify a couple more inches of room more than the 0 DC gave. Not a great example Jim, DC was pretty crash happy in his final few years.by chet - F1
NK was in the wrong about the incident, he accepted that im sure but let's be clear... Under no circumstances has Vettel got any right to call another driver an idiot, or gherkin(???!). Then the middle finger... twice?! Clearly Vettel is taking his frustration out on Narain... Kid Vettel showing again. What's happened to the cool, calm, MATURE, gentleman we had last few yearsby chet - F1
Me wanting to see Vettel kicked when down, so if you dont like it, don't read further... Why did he not get a penalty when he was released in the pitlane, and Kimi on a damp track had to brake to avoid him? Kimi had to slow, sure it could have been closer but IMO I think another day, another driver and a penalty would have been dished out. On to Button again, his race was awful, but yby chet - F1
Massa and Button were the early title leaders in 2010 yet they were the ones who finished further back from the eventual winner. Alonso collecting points now means when he does have the car, he will be in the fight later stillby chet - F1
Mclaren and RedBull showed similar, relative pace as they did in Oz. But where they lacked was that neither Perez, nor Alonso were driving the cars. By far, and in a big way the two drivers who got everything from the machinery, and more. IMO if there ever was evidence of drivers making the difference, then this was it. Perez and Alonso on another planet today. A shame for Perez, would havby chet - F1

Nico is suffering from having a bad car for too long! A guy who knows what to expect when the car is working will not over drive, he will just let the car flow. Seem's to me that Nico has choked these last two events because he has a good car and quite simply, he can't use it. If he just relaxes im sure lap time will come to him. Nico's proven to be quick, mega quick, certainlyby chet - F1
The way I see it... Lewis keeps his position for first lap, then he's won. If Button get's in front on first lap then he's won. If Michael passes Button, Lewis has won. If Michael passes both, Lewis has won. What will be interesting is how quick the RBR's are. I swear they looked so much better on long runs, as did Lotus. Imola was a track were overtaking was difficult. They got DRS, a wide track where overtaking will happen regardless of DRS. Schumi, no matter how good he is will not hold anyone back here for 30 laps . Looking at the times again, I 100% believe Williams has a car to match Ferrari again. Not upto the pace of Mclaren, RedBull and Lotus, but IMO not far from Mercedes, and easily a match for Ferraby chet - F1
The fact that I kept away from the result for about 16 hours was the best thing to happen all weekend, so ill leave it at thatby chet - F1
Number's don't lie and on long run race, Mclaren behind RedBull AND Lotus! Question is obviously fuel. The difference between RedBull looks to be on 0.5/lap upwards, and maybe 0.3/lap for Lotus. I assume some difference must be fuel, because that's a huge difference from Australia. There was obvious drop off for Button too. Difficult to compare directly because he was on Softby chet - F1

Bite the bullet and put a rookie in the car! Put Bianchi in! Or hell, even Jamie A or Buemi would be almost as good IMO. If Ferrari are to replace Massa, I hope they at least make it an exciting one, they are risking replacing him, so why not risk using a driver who could actually be a relative long term replacement?by chet - F1
I like this race. A button track too :D! Expecting a closer Mclaren, RedBull battle with hopefully Lotus in there somewhere aswell as Merc. I can really see 2 guys at front vanishing though.... Because I expect Merc to qualify well, not race as quick but seriously piss off some drivers :p! Big question for me is, where will Williams be? Simon Lazenby .... Who? And why? Himself, and Thompson RUIN the coverage. Still, I cant complain, Brundle and Croft was equally as awesome (if not better!) than DC and Brundle! The Sky 'tech' is awesome, Kravitz is awesome. Hill is better than EJ... so basically the ones who ruin the show are the sky people. Lazenby is no Humphrey. I went the whole day without hearing a single thing, despite being a pub with sports news, and a bunch of friends who really wanted to, and could have ruined my day! Got home, put the race on and was blown away. I was worried after qualifying Jenson would be finishing behind Lewis, albeit close... Instead what I got to see was pure, and utter Button domination! How often do we get to say that?by chet - F1
