Mclaren looked so nice to drive. RedBull equally as easy looking... IMO RedBull still minimum 2-3 tenths quicker. Button looking strong, though early days! This is usually a trend, good FP1, and 2 quicker than Lewis on times and long runs then boom Q3 and Lewis pulls it out and 3-6 tenths quicker than Jenson! Schumacher especially was pushing which suggests to me the car's good. The guby chet - F1

Forget my post. Seem's better to do it this way !! If I get a chance (away this weekend ) will likely change prediction, but pre practice; Pole. MW 1. LH 2. JB 3. MW 4. SV 5. NR 6. FA 7. KR 8. MS 9. RG 10. KK Fastest lap - Lewis Team - Williamsby chet - F1

We'll all do the same thing... When BBC are showing live footage we will watch the chain, then maybe switch over. Or if you're mega prepared, you'll have a recording of the chain ready before every race in the cd player and simply press play :D!! The chain to Sky's video would be awesome. They have ruined an amazing collection of images and videos. Natural sounds wouldby chet - F1
Is it angry birds ? His old helmet was one of the best in the fieldby chet - F1
Nurburgring.... the race he went from almost dead last at T1 to 4th in a handful of laps before getting caught out by the river, not his fault. At Silverstone, I agree, but those watching live timing will have fond memories of seeing a whole heap of purple before he went off. That wasn't the issue, it was his recovery which was. If's and but's but a race where IMO a podium alongsidby chet - F1
You can list races in double figures where he's shown strong pace in such conditions. IMO I've always thought it's the same talent that is his downfall for inbalanced car's and tyre sensitivity in the dry. Watching the season review of 2011 and I feel ashamed to say this but the noses look odd. The 2011 noses I mean . I should have my official f1 fan right's taken aby chet - F1
I was thinking about this thread yesterday, and was going to start it if it had not been started when I returned :p! Disappointing news from my side, I will be missing the qualifying, and race . I have never missed the first live! I should say missing ANY F1 race is something of a no-no for me, especially considering it's the first, it's one of the best tracks producing some of the bby chet - F1
You can bet who's quickest in P1, so ill either chose Nico or Grosjean/Kimi and again chose one of them 3 for a win. Apparently weather looks abit dodgy. In which case, if it is i'll be betting on a Nico win all the way!by chet - F1
Im in :D! Regarding the points, IMO it is easier to pick the winner, and even top 3 than it is the bottom 5 of the top 10. I think we can assume RBR and Mclaren will be top so we have a top 3 pretty much done, the midfield though, as ever looks amazingly close and predicting that will be impossible. However, see what the other users say, grateful for this to be run again !by chet - F1
tbh, I dont think many drivers would be good friends after one drove into another in an attempt to win the championship. But this was before the dominance of the team, Irvine was always looking like a second rate driver, and IMO not even a match for DC. I wouldn't dismiss it so easily. I certainly believe there was a Mclaren option for him. However I suppose back then teams were more or lby chet - F1
I'm every bit a Villeneuve fan as a Button fan (actually, with slight tendency's toward Jenson :p) and anyone who doubted his ability was simply foolish. Just go back watch the 1999, 2000, and 2001 seasons. It was all too easy to blame grooves for a loss of performance, but the reality was that there ZERO loss of performance. He might have hated the grooves but it certainly didn'tby chet - F1

Jim - I dont know if you follow NASCAR or not, but I usually get my stream links through the site you just mentioned, however so far for the first two races I've been lucky enough to get a stream lasting 10mins before it was shut down. Last year, it never happened once! The frequency of shut downs was less for the race just passed, so perhaps it was only for the Daytona 500... F1 howeverby chet - F1

Anyone noticed the horrible error on the time lapse's ?? In the title it says the team name, and winter 2012. Surely its winter 2011 . Unless of course Sky are showing us next years cars :pby chet - F1
Ferrari behind Merc is believable, and maybe Lotus too... but I dont see that happening. I see Merc maybe on par, but tbh Alonso will make it seem like they have a few tenths over Merc at least IMO. People wonder what percentage role the car plays, and driver. When the car is good, IMO its more car. When the car is bad, thats when the driver will make it count... And if the Ferrari is off pacby chet - F1
Didn't expect that. They've got some Mclaren help this year, they've had a massive recruitment drive (yet still said no to me :p!) and looked on the up. Still showing F1 on a shoe-string is not an easy thing.by chet - F1

I honestly don't see how stalling the front wing would be that beneficial... Sure, it creates drag but the effects would not be any near as large as with the rear wing. The other thing is, the front wing provides aero structures for the whole of the car. For instance, there are some elements of the front wing which interact with the front tyre and wheel wake to reduce its effectiveness downsby chet - F1

Another case of Flavio probably hurting his driver more than any crash. It was a bad mistake, but Flavio's treatment after was worse. Doesnt look like the Brawn nose I didn't want to like the Mclaren !! I guess now the Force India is the best car.... Unless the Williams happens to be a winner ?by chet - F1
I watched a race recently (was it grand-am???) where the commentary team did not even have windows in the box! Maybe it was Dubai 24hours? It was a recent event as far as I remember, but I was pretty shocked at that =/!by chet - F1
Here's hoping for a Brawn look-alike :D! Well, as realistically possible with the regs.by chet - F1

At uni my friends used to laugh at me when that happened when watching Nascar in my room. And it's always an ego boost when you beat Brundle :D! Though in his older age he's tended to get abit error prone :p!by chet - F1
I wouldn't say a pet hate but until I started watching live-timing I had no idea how the race unfolded for anyone! I get very, very annoyed if I cant watch without live timing now, I need constant updates of laps and gaps for all the drivers and I get annoyed when the coverage doesn't show this. Personally I think the tv coverage should include a real-time gap bar that is always onby chet - F1
Caterham, almost 140 laps and run with KERS today ! You want a serious F1 outfit, theres one right there! Mikey G has certainly built some awesome technical foundations with this team, the move to Leafield should help matters too. Really excited for the future of the team because it looks like they have one!by chet - F1
