Soooo..... Alonso had his fastest lap of the first day of testing deleted, because he had to cut the track to pass... the Honda powered Toro Rosso. Yep, the GP2 engine was just too fast on the straights for him to pass normally. And 90+ laps completed on the first day. Oh, the irony! Yeah, in the old days a driver would have a helmet design that would pretty much follow him for life. That began to slide in the 00'ies and Vettel amongst others took it to a whole new level with new helmet designs at every race. The showmen were afraid that viewers could not recognize the drivers when the constantly had new helmets, so the different helmet design once per season rule was maby Morbid - F1
Doesn't matter if Max Verstappen moved around, braked or didn't. It doesn't matter if Kimi didn't have a straight line. Since the inception of the "Schumi chop" it has been argued, that if you move over on another car on a straight, and you force that car to move or have a crash, then you are to blame, unlike in a corner trajectory (which is weirdly a punishable offeby Morbid - F1

Back when Macca signed the contract with Honda, I remember forecasting that there was absolutely NO WAY they would take on the grid and become champions. I was very, very sceptical of their ability to impress. I took a lot of sh!t on that account. While I might have gotten some of the technical aspects of their engine design wrong, is there ANYONE left that want to re-assert the bold claims fromby Morbid - F1

It's not so strange, that the MP4 is designation is gone. It is very common in organisations and companies, that when a former chief that has become legend gets ousted after a big and nasty power struggle, the 1984 effect sets in. They are just erased, and all the things that remind of them are too as well. It is a way for the new management to demonstrate that they are now in full and totalby Morbid - F1

The rise of Formula E, perhaps not... the death of the internal combustion engine, yes for sure. Why do you think manufacturers wanted to go hybrid in the first place with minuscule v6's in the first place? They want to push the product, by establishing some imaginary connection between the car you see on TV and on track, and the car you see in the dealer's lot. It is about pushing saleby Morbid - F1

I doubt that Mercedes will sanction Hamilton in any way that will affect his racing. They still want to dominate next year, and gimping Hamilton is gimping themselves. But as far as I recollect, they do have options to impose fines on his paycheck and such. As to Rosberg using #1, for sure, bring it on. If you got it, flaunt it.by Morbid - F1

To be fair, what he says in that clip is true, that it isn't Rosbergs fault, that he had near perfect reliability throughout the season. That is factually correct: Hamilton has been stupidly unlucky with his gear this season. And it is hard to image that it did NOT cost him the championship. Dunno why people are so upset with Hamilton. If you are not willing to sell you soul, to all sorts of sponsors and corporate interests, to be in that car, you are not gonna be there. And many in the paddock would vote any day, that you SHOULD'T even be there.
