Jacarapagua track is available from the downloads section on this site. It is a 1988 version so I guess the advertising will be different but essentially the track itself is the same. The short version of Paul Ricard, to my knowledge, hasn't been made for GP3. The only version is the unbutchered version with the full Mistail Straight. Jerez was changed quite a bit after Martin Donnellyby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
I know exactly what you mean. I was racing at Argentina, struggling on the wrong tyres, but wasn't too concerned as a load of cars were spinning out at Turn three in an indenticle way, so I knew I would eventually make up a bunch of places. And the CC's ability to get going again is poor to say the least. Another annoying thing is when a CC sits on the side of the track waiting for allby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
So, will editing the magic data have an effect on the CC's? I know that the GP Master way will only effect the human controlled cars.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
My ideas: When setting the performance rating you need to consider your own ability. There is no point whatsoever in setting the performances so that the CC's lap Monaco in 1m15.xxx if the best you can do yourself is 1m20.xxx. What is your aim? If you wan't to be a midfield runner at 1m20.xxx then find out, through trial and error (running 'demo' qualy sessions), the performaby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3

That's all a little pointless. I've always felt that if you are going to hold such competitions then the best way is to demand a clean installation with no add-on's. Maybe some people are just too eager to impress so they cheat.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
I have a similar problem with rain, but only with GP 3 2000. It seems that if I spin or rev very highly the game will crash to desktop (or if other cars do this). My guess is that there is some kind of graphic overload which my computer can't handle for some reason. Btw, I only play in SW mode. I've never read of anyone having the same problem before now, so it's nice to know thatby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
About one third of the way down the page. It says it's the 2001 layout but my understanding is that it has remained the same since 1992.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Sounds nice daveb As for Monaco 2003, it really is a bit too soon to expect any new version to be quickly available. Plus imho the changes are naff.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Any ideas on how then? It may be difficult to find out exactly who developed the various files and get permission to package them together, and give the necessary credit. I'd be willing to open one of my emails to collect them and then send them into this site, or host them myself. Let me know if you have any thoughts and I'll put up the email that I will use if it can be done.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Might it be an idea to collect as many phsics files as we can and upload them all in one place? It would stop every other thread on this forum being a request asking for a specific years' physics.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
I've just set up the 1989 season with all the correct tracks. Downloaded the 1989 season set from this site and then edited the performances and reliability to make them more realistic. Took out Martin Brundle and replaced him with Keke Rosberg (a hero of mine) and will soon be looking to take Keke to his second WDC. Still lots to do as I am using a different physics set so I need to go throby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Yep, there was a thread asking the exact same question a few weeks ago. I cured the problem by installing the 1.13 patch. Not sure why this worked if it's a graphic card driver issue, but it most certainly did work.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Sorry to start another thread requesting physics, but I have had a good search around and found nothing from the 1960's. In fact the best I can do is the pair of '76 physics included with APE. So, does anyone have physics files from the 60's or is anybody planning on making any? It would be greatly appreciated as it seems a little silly using a 1965 carset and it handling like a 2by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
I'm forever spinning at Turn Three in Spain. Just far to eager to get on the power early. In general it depends on the track. Hockenheim 2002 is a royal pain (the corner after the tight hairping is oversteer heaven). Some others like Silverstone, Melbourne, A1, Imola and Malaysia I usually complete without a spin. In Argentina I never spin and always win. Meanwhile the CC's always seeby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3

I had this problem when I first bought the game. After installing the 1.13 patch everything was fine. So give that a try. I can't give you the reason but I am sure that the patch is the solution.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
There are various different editors available for GP 3 2000, including GP3 2000 Edit. However, to my knowledge this editor has never been completed so there are several unavailable options. Scroll through the downloads on the parent site.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Thanks Jacki, I'll give that a go when I get the chance.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
I am planning on putting the tracks on GP3 2000 in the correct order of the 2003 season (plus Spa somewhere) and have managed to get the correct images to come up where appropriate, ie. loading image and the four different track maps, but I am still stuck with the record data from the track originally in each slot. For example, track 2 was originally Brazil. I have placed Sepang here and have thby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Okay, it seems that the more recent versions of GPxPatch all have this same problem. I tried them all in reverse date order and the first one that worked was v3.03. And then I can't edit the GPxLap.ini file to allow only three qualifying laps and 3 consecutive cars. Looks like I'm stuck with an either/or situation.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Vader, didn't see you post there. I have had this working before so I guess the sky messages that I refer to do work in SW mode. It's just odd that now they don't. Maybe I should try an earlier version of GPx?by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Sorry, I'm playing GP3 2k. I checked the config file you mention anyway (gconfig.txt) and all that is there is my graphics card details, plus a note saying do not edit. I checked the GPxSAT log file created by GPx for my last session and it says: *** Starting log 19-03-2003 17:47:00 GPxSAT 2002 started. Removing GPx's qualifying/quicklaps timing. Wondering whether anyone can put me out of my misery. I am encoutering a few problems that are, I believe, related to GPxPatch. First off, in qualifying sessions how do I have the best split time displayed as a sky message? I have twiddled around with GPxLap and GPxSAT far to long to retain any sanity, yet have still no luck. Thanks Natazone, all works fine now.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Traction, sorry if it seems like I am asking the same question again, but when you say that it is necessary to set the number of qualifying laps to 3, exactly where is this done? Is it in one of the .ini files or does it need to be added. Also, does it matter where "ConsecutiveCars = 4" is typed (eg. at the top, bottom or anywhere in gpxset.ini)? Thanks in advance.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3

One other thing, if you complete your 12th lap with no time left in the session then you won't be dq'd. This way you can squeeze out one extra fast lap. For example, at Spa, you start your 12th lap (which would normally be an in-lap) with 1 minute to go. Two thirds of the way around the lap the time expires. You can then go on to complete that lap without the fear of being shoved to theby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
