Do you have a graphics card that supports hardware mode? *Edit* Just did a quick search on the forum and apparently not. Hardly surprising you can't load the track. Post Edited (09-21-03 21:05)by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
There's quite a difference between the Indy F1 track and the Indy Oval. Can't imagine any setup on Marco's site would be much goodby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
All you need now is to overtake Juan Pablo then life will be truly beautifulby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
The only thing about GP3 that XP doesn't like is replaying hotlaps. Otherwise I have never had any problems. Run through GPxPatch in debug mode, and if you still have the error message then post the exact message and the log file on the GPxPatch forum where you will very likely get an answer to your problems.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Blimey! Even before the track is completely built - that is impressive. Where did you get the details like track width and undulations, camber etc? Is there a site out there that has such details for various tracks?by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
GP3 2000 I find far more driveable. In the original it seems often like the car is on rails and also the ability to power slide around corners is rather overaccentuated. Also the sound is far superior on GP3 2000 imo. Btw, just bought GP4 for a measly £10 but I can't get it running at all well on my PCby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Depends on many factors but for a starter something like 5-10mmby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
He says, using the very same technique (okay, I'll give that up to irony), as well as poor punctuation, capitalisation and text-talk. But I'm not one to complain about such trivialities.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Can't say I find AVUS at all fun. I've only ever done a few practice laps there though, so I guess maybe racing is a bit better. Just had a look at Bern-Grauholtz and it looks great. Loads of fast sweeping corners. Reminded me a little of Rouen I think.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Has anybody converted this track to software mode? I tried but can't get the track to load. Without debug selected the game crashed to desktop and with debug selected the game hangs at the last stage of loading (five lights on GP3, end of the progress bar on 2k). I have managed to convert other tracks like The Ring to SW without any problems but can't seem to get Donnington to work. Anby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Jeez, less that three hours after the race and already the requests come in.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Original - Silverstone, Sepang Old - Brands Hatch, Watkins Glen Cart - Road America, Monterrey Fantasy - The Ring Other - Macau. The reason - all of them are nice rhythmic flowing tracks where a solid combination of setup and driving ability are essential to be able to perform well.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
All you Sepang haters I love the place and spent days on end racing there. It's a fairly hard track to set up for but a good challenge and very satisfying when you succeed. I'm actually quite the opposite of the majority - I dislike, and am not good at the low downforce tracks. Probably because I don't drive them very often as I find it a bit dull driving down long straights allby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
You are correct in your assumptions. Download CMagic. Open it and in the top box browse for the track.dat file. Once selected, in the bottom box browse for the corresponding md file then click on "insert data", and bingo! Everything should work just fineby St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Do you mean the game crashes or the driver crashes? If the driver appears to crash it could be that the wrong version of the track is being used, either in the save or on your compter when you try to play the hotlap back.by St.Hubbins - Grand Prix 3
Trulli - has been shafted out of so many races but other drivers when in a good looking position. Now I've heard it allby St.Hubbins - F1
OT - sasjag, are you a Tamworth fan? Or are you taking the metaphorical pi$$? Just curiousby St.Hubbins - F1
Maybe, not sure, but the extract I posted on the other thread indicates that Ferrari were running a form of TC in 1994. There were also suspicious about this following Schumacher's win in the rain in Spain. Can't say I've read a great deal about this though.by St.Hubbins - F1
The B194 wasn't a damn fine car though. It was made to look like it was by a less that awesome Williams driven for the most part of the season by one of modern days' less able World Champions, a dreadful McLaren, a tank of a Ferrari, and a whole bunch of illegal gizmos. Well, that's my opinion anyway The analogy - Schroedinger's Cat. Or in psychology terms I suppose objectby St.Hubbins - F1
facts state that there is no solid proof it was, or was not used. It seems he didn't really gain from it anyway! If it was used then we would have to presume that he did gain, otherwise it wouldn't have been used. Just like there was gain in illegally removing the fuel filter. If it wasn;t used then.... nah, that's just a crazy thoughtby St.Hubbins - F1
"UPDATED JULY 31: Road America's famous Carousel corner has been revised, with a new turn inserted to slow cars into the ultra-fast Kink at Turn 11. Circuit bosses say the new, optional configuration will incorporate a chicane, tentatively called The Bend (Turn 10A), at the end of the Carousel, providing a new entry angle to Turn 11. The Bend is expected to be available for use duringby St.Hubbins - Off-Topic
Deletraz raced in Adelaide 1994. The F1 Rejects site is great, and in fact Deletraz is pretty much confirmed as the worst ever GP driver. Read the profile on him - it's hilarious.by St.Hubbins - F1
Of the 20 current F1 drivers Olivier Panis has had the highest percentage of mechanical failures. So I guess he's pretty unlucky.by St.Hubbins - F1
"At the French Grand Prix in late June, Schumacher beat Hill off the line with a start so flawless that it hardened the suspicions lurking in many minds. This was the kind of getaway that had been seen many times in the previous two seasons, when the top teams had enjoyed the benefits of the now proscibed traction control systems and fully automatic gearboxes. Why not just go with a clean istall of the game rather that messing around with physics files and carsets? If you have a clean install then the checksums in HOFxLap will be the same for everybody. inti: 5aac4915 car: 0eed046c damage: 7bf85bdd If the physics are altered, or the carset, or the damage coefficients or amything else then one or more of the checksums will change. The plank has always been wooden. The sparks are titanium skid plates dragging on the ground. In the days of flat bottomed cars there was also a period where refuelling was not allowed. As such the cars were very heavy at the beginning of races which in turn reduced the ride height. These sparks would normally cease to exist after about 10 laps of the race.by St.Hubbins - F1
The reason given by the team is that Frentzen simply wasn't performing up to expectations. Fair enough if this was the case but in reality it wasn't that bad a season for HHF. I think there was something more sinister that Joe Public was not told.by St.Hubbins - F1
My comments were referring to the pit stop times. They are not the most accurate timing withing the GP weekend so the fact that on the television it showed Ralf was over a second faster this may not actually be the case. There is offcial timing giving the time spent in the pitlane which would be more accurate, although I haven't seen it. Maybe somebody who has the stats can share the informby St.Hubbins - F1
