great work elio! so many interesting years..by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..it depends what gp3-version you are using. GP3 or GP3-2000. The 2000 is a kind of an expansion pack, sure you know. When I remember correctly in GP3 there are 2 editors to change opponents performance easily, you´ll find them in my zip. In GP3-2000 the only possibility to change that is via "Belini-Grip-patcher". In my files look for "belini_player_grip.exe" and copy it toby pirx - Grand Prix 3
Anyone knows where to start?by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..great it works for you now! (Sadly the link I posted is useless as the DLs on the site are already dead.. I didn´t check..)by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..hmm, I never had to convert a setup from GP3 to GP32k -didn´t even know that there are differences. Here is a link to many GP3/2k-tools, maybe you can find it there: link cheerz!by pirx - Grand Prix 3
@triggering: If you use DirectInput the LT and RT (Left Top/Right Top-Trigger) are just "switches" between "on" and "off". If you use XInput LT & RT generate values from 0-whatever, so you can attach throttle or brake here. As I said before, I had many PCs since the Nineties, and every controller worked correctly, never had any problem from Win95-Win11.by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..maybe you need to install DirectPlay. Its an old windows-module to support DirectInput.. I´m not sure Here I own a Logitech F710 gamepad. Great for GP3 and everything else. It can even switch between Xbox and DirectInput. Big recommendation!by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..it´s a shame - someone is building new tracks and not one reply!! abcdefg you are legend!by pirx - Grand Prix 3

In Linux with Wine yes! In Windows I never saw it running in windowed Modeby pirx - Grand Prix 3
All I can do is post a personal MD-file-explanation of known values. Author of this knowledge is unknown..(see below). Maybe you can get some useful info..? PLUS 10 years ago I had some contact with a MD-Genious called "Mike Miller" here on GPG.org -maybe you try to contact him by PM.. """" - Header. I wonder if someone could share a GP4-installation without the use of Zaz-Tools but GPxPatch-supported and including updated cars and tracks from the original 2001 year? -> my goal is to play the SIM with all its ingame-features, but without Zaz! Also a pointing to where to start and build it by myself could help. Thank you!by pirx - Grand Prix 4
I had a Mac years ago and did many testings on all kind of platforms and virtual environments: GP3/4 will not work well in emulated OS-environments like "Parallels" or "VMware", etc. On a Mac you have 2 possibilities: - Bootcamp with a native windows-system in dualboot-mode (I don´t know if this feature is still supported with the new Apple-CPUs?) - Linux and Wine will wby pirx - Grand Prix 4
Many thanx to everybody involved in this finest piece of modding -my personal favorit of GP4-mods!by pirx - Grand Prix 4
great!!! - send a PM to "mortal" (Admin) and ask for permission..by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..to be honest, I don´t think this is going to work, but give it a try. To find out fast just use a fresh, clean install of GP3 on both machines (no MODs, no GPxPatch, no Addons) AND I remember another must have: - no ordinary LAN-cable (Patch Cable) between the two computers will work -> you need a "Crossover Cable" see here.by pirx - Grand Prix 3
You can play with MODs etc etc BUT 2 things are really important: 1.On both machines must be exactly the same copy of all the file you play with. So do as Evandro said.. 2. All is ONLY possible in WINXP-32bit and older because Microsoft canceled some technic called "DirectPlay" and/or "DirectLink" from later Operating Systems. And believe me, I tried a lot to get it runninby pirx - Grand Prix 3
..I run Mint, actual release. But don´t wanna run with dgvoodoo wrapper or dxwnd under Linux, because in these cases I could run it in Windows, right? -or is there any performance-win then?by pirx - Grand Prix 3
I tested with Wine. GP3-2k is running BUT causes to much CPU occupancyby pirx - Grand Prix 3
your game-exe-files have administrator permissions? (rightclick on them and set it)by pirx - Grand Prix 3
unluckily some important features where unsolvable for the hard trying community here. myself is still hoping for a "reverse SW engineer-hero" to come and lift the fps up to 60 and do some other tweaks here and there. Biggest wishes are Multiplayer or 16:9 HD.. Beside that borders it´s an incredible full of racing-series and year related cars/tracks consisting game until today -bornby pirx - Grand Prix 3
plz re-download GP3 UNIVERSEmod ..seems some files are corrupted. & read helping txt-file inside 7-zipby pirx - Grand Prix 3

Linux/Wine-tests for GP3: Wine serves to less performance for an optimal GP3 running - GP3/2k installed with it´s original setup and tracks are playable - PO: 100-120% - Belini-tracks and other fully detailed tracks are a problem - PO:300% - Rainconditions (Monsoon) - PO:600% (all at start, later it gets better of course) ->everything depends on your HW-specs (as usual) Tested on:by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..yes, wine is not an emulator, I forgot )) -sorry Eric I´ll test tomorrow, didn´t find the time up till now..by pirx - Grand Prix 3
..everything functions normal, just "out of the box". But don´t forget wine is an emulator and it will never reach same performance as a native system. I installed Linux "Mint" 19.x (same as Ubuntu) and followed this site: link in linux-terminal enter: - "winecfg" (to setup wine) - "wine control" (to install windows-exe-files or gamecontroller)by pirx - Grand Prix 3
thx alot!!! worx great under Linux/Wine ..by pirx - Grand Prix 3
