I did formula renualt uk for 1 year and now I know what car your on about.. Its ok, still not very good.

Point is GTL, some Rfactor mods, Daytona 24 hours and probably nektar pro, rock. But lfs is a bad arcade game, worse than toca race driver!

All I can say, is roll on Rolex game, nothing will even compare!

Finally we're getting somewhere, I know LFS is a bad arcade game thats because its a simulation ;-)

LFS, the worst arcade game ever!!

Keiran, it's great that you're the only one standing up for a game you really like, but I think you should just settle with LFS not being like real life but a fun game to play which is obviously rewarding to you (all that matters is that, if you enjoy a game no matter how it is :)).

But you're a good guy and this argument has been getting nasty, it's no good to have people exchanging the same words page after page, no one's opinion will change (this is to everyone). Just let this one rest, and to quote Love Actually (yes, I managed to put this in! ;)), think of it as a "self preservationg thing."

LMFAO!

Ok, put it in a different way (one you cant manipulate :P) I would rather play Toca race driver for a realistic sim! Infact I would rather play a F1 Sony game than LFS for realitic properties! That clear enough hehe?

OK, I can generally see your point, but lets not lose focus here. Codemasters suck. Sony suck. At least the principles of LFS are right, whereas neither TRD or that heap of crap F1 thing are just... NFS basically.

*Yawn* your opinion is just utter rubbish and it aint going to stop me playing LFS nor is it going to make me play a ISI engined game. Sebastion Loeb praises GT4 for being so realistic but I don't play it because he thinks it's realistic.

If thats your true opinion on the drivers and games, why did you bother bringing up the FR 2000 driver (who still remains unnamed) ;)

It is true, alot of drivers backing games is money related. Like the EA NASCAR games for example. But there is many exceptions where drivers do actually use the game for its realism. I can churn off a whole list of NASCAR drivers who use NR2003 properly, not just for messing about :)

How everyone here can comment on what is a simulation or not without having done the real thing god only knows. And without meaning to cause offense to D3-Edwards, the people who claim to have driven whatever in real life may not be telling the truth and it is almost impossible to prove such things over the internet if they have and so these should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Put it this way, no computer game currently available can claim to be a true simulator. None recreate everything seen in real life and they all have their own separate flaws. And even if they did, and this sounds ridiculous, they can't recreate g-forces and all the other goings on when you do it in real life.

And on that basis we are all playing arcade rubbish.

Some very confuisng comments there tbh

Lfs is the closest simulator to real racing as you can get today, but there are a few things that is not good at all/ or not implemented yet in the pyhsics engine that is essential to really complete the picture. If you take away tire, aero and the non existent undertray pyshics in the game. I would say they are pretty much spot on.

Perhaps im miss understand the comment (probably :P), but hes said, if you take away 2 of the most important parts of the physics engine, it becomes realistic? hm. Odd comment
