tbh the Blu-Ray and HD-DVD battle is plain stupid anyway, it dosn't benefit the consumer at all, as people like Sony Columbia Pictures only releasing Blu-Ray and Universal only releasing HD-DVD... How is that good for the consumer? Eventually they will probably make a player which reads both, bit like the old DVD+R and -R battles...

any idea how much the stand-alone PS3 console will be in the uk? (roughly) it's started to appear in magazines but they're all bundles with about 50 (worthless) games for around £550.

The way production has been going you won't be able to get hold of one for months anyway so I wouldnt think about it yet, to be honest i'll be very surprised if they go ahead with the March launch, there's rumours of it being put back till September but they're just keeping it quiet until after christmas for obvious reasons.

if thats true, i am really happy, no reason to get a PS3. NONE whatsoever.

I played the PS3 today :D, NBA 07... just sharp graphics but nothing too special . Dad's still trying to "secretly" buy me a Wii, haha

In a local shop of mine they have the PS3 and the 360 next to each other. I was watching people play on both consoles (COD3) and I think the 360 looks better.

It has been widely reported that the 360 currently looks better than the PS3.

Weak? I would say the wii is better than last gen consoles. Probably about the same as a low end pc these days which isnt that bad. Your an idiot if you buy the wii expecting good graphics anyway

considering how much cheaper the Wii is, im impressed with that video.

Considering how much more the PS3 will be im disgusted with that video.

The Wii is 3x times more powerful than the Gamecube, I know what to expect from it .
And if I get one of these next gen consoles it will most likely be the Wii! Only Nintendo has Zelda

For the top end version its £425 apparantly... Lower end version don't know as they haven't released a price and they've hinted it won't be available at launch anyway...

they will probably tell you the lower end version is £200 for the first month of release of the ps3, but there wont be any for 1 month.

One of the local stores here is offering a boxing week sale with an xbox 360 premium with ghost recon thrown in for $400 CDN (or 177 GBP). Any of you guys reckon its a deal worth going for? Had my eye on a 360 for a while but been holding back as theres usually some kinda boxing day price cuts in most stores around here.
