Xbox 360 or Playstation 3?

The textures do look sharp, but I hope these first few months of games coming out for PS3 get rid of their crap soon, since developers didn't have too long to make the games. You can clearly tell some things are rushed..

just got dead rising for £29.99 today still tempted to buy Gears of War, but somethings holding me back, fear it wont live up to the hype.

It's a cool battle game, don't expect anything epic from it or its ending though. But if you can go online constantly, that's where a good chunk of the fun lies

Why not rent it then? I'm not sure where you live, but if your in the UK, I've seen adverts that Blockbuster are renting Gears Of War atm...

blockbusters is a journey for me, i've got my local movie place, but they dont rent out 360 games yet.

i've seen gameplay footage and it just doesn't get me, it looks amazing of course, but its just cover and shoot.

i like a good story in my games, thats why i bought dead rising, fps just dont have really good stories, deus ex being the exception.

ravl585, Gears of War has no real story, it's just "what the heck" and you start shooting :p. No explanation for anything at all, the locusts are just there and you're fighting!

i think i'll wait until christmas, my sister said she'll get me 3 games, so those will be, gears, viva pinata and a footie game. i already returned pro evo 6, but feel i didnt give it enough of a chance.

thanks looks like ill have to wait 2 week before i can get the 20gb hard drive to save it

New GTHD screens here: [www.eurogamer.net] They seriously need to start picking up the pace on most of the games in production for the PS3 if they want people to get excited over screenshots.

refering to the f1 vid in last page, i say it looks way too easy!

and anyway i prefeer 360 than ps3, i have mine and yesterday bought some games (PGR3 - NHL07 - FIFA07) and on my HDTV it owns anykind of other videogame ive seen :P

GT HD screens are basically exactly the same as the GT4 screens for ps2 (it is the same game engine just in HD) so cant see many people getting too excited about that.

That and apparently you have to buy most of the game content from the Sony online thingy. Rumours at work are the final full game could cost as much as £200+

hahahahaha, I imagine how many people will buy the game without paying attention to that :D
