Don’t feel blue, somebody created that shade of blue you surfed around found the correct shade of blue. Im not sure who created that shade of blue however I would like to give credit where credit is due. Jcaranti;-) created some shades of blue and you used them to make us laugh and not feel blue.

Gui - I'm not speaking against Jorge or any modder. I just think that modding should be done for the love of the game and to contribute to a community, not for the credits and to become famous. I never read the credit files anyway so from my point of view they are overrated. Maybe I'd feel different if I was a modder but I guess I wouldn't care.

And another thing - those of you who have never stolen (intellectual) property, who have never downloaded music/games, who have never bought fake brand clothes/watches etc should throw the first stone.

When you make something for gp4 and that something
takes hundreds of hours to build believe me you will want
you name in the credits because you know how much
time you had to put into it.

You also mention "modding should be done in the love of the game":
Then this is the wrong community because i never saw anyone not
release any work without that person crediting himself. Perhaps some
people did not put a read me file with the credits but they did put it
a thread title that is their work.
In my case i always released putting a read me with all credits.

Also you mention "not for the credits and to become famous":
Im not in this community to be famous.
But i do like to be credited properly of the work that i created
and i like to keep certain author rights to where the work goes
and how its used, however their is a moderator (of the gp4 section)
of this forum that abused those 2 rights that i say.

When most of us started with GPx few even bothered with forums. There was usually a readme or a title next to the work on the site you downloaded it from, but far from all the time - half the files out there have no credits to them. People just made the work because that's what they enjoyed and to share it with others. Not saying that's not the way it is now, but it seems credit is something which is deemed mandatory now... people tend to forget that the data is based off of some guy at Microprose who is buried away in a credit list which is barely ever read and certainly isn't listed in any credits... which is slightly ironic given this thread.

Oh come on. I work at a school as a teacher. Together with two other creative colleagues we designed complete lecture/study series for all the English teaching staff at our school. We developed at least 2 huge long-time projects for each year (from year 5 to 10). We did this in our free time and in our holidays. Did we get paid for it? Well, I got a "thank you" letter from our headmaster with chocolate bar glued to it. Did I ask for a "credit" on the countless worksheets we made in our freetime? No. Why? Because I did out of love. I know people from other school who sell inferior stuff to school book publishers for BIG money. I won't. I believe in free contribution of stuff. I know what I created for the greater glory of etc etc and I'm humble enough not to ask for credit.

Thats for your real life job. But for GP4 stuff i do this after real job so yeah
it makes me angry when someone steels something that i make because
he is steeling what i did in my free time.
I like to have my stuff credited always. Their is nothing wrong or illegal about that.

I had stuff stolen but I couldn't care much to be honest, I only did a handful of helmets ;). I'd really like if people just made stuff and released it but if the person claims credit for something but doesn't share the credit with others who worked on it, then that is wrong.

So, to get back to the original subject, what have you actually done to get the stuff removed? Or have you only ranted here hoping to get some support and make BigBrother seem like some Dr Evil?

Did you read my post? It's not part of my job. I don't hjave to do it. I still do AFTER the real part of my job. And I don't give a flying f*ck wether people acknowledge me or not. My ego is big enough notz to need credits.

It's certinaly not neither wrong nor illegal - I think (and I'm alone here) you make yourself an easy target. BB knows exactly what to do to make you go apeshite and you do him the pleasure. Instead of saying "f*ck you, it's not worth it" you make a fool out of yourself.

I sent an email to the server provider and they removed it because
they saw clearly it was an abuse what Steven De Zitter aka bigbrother did

If you interested i can show the email that i got from server provider.

The problem is the Gp4 moderator of this forum because he backs him up
and when i start writing with the keyboard and exposing BB the moderator has a go at me.
Why?? All the times i wrote against that person is when he did something bad against me or other person.
Recent example he has a made track pack for Gp4 and he uploaded to share, ofcourse no permission was asked to the authors.
This share its not for just a few friends its for several hundreds of gp4 fans. I think thats an abusive of author rights.
Guess what happened: The Gp4 moderator threatened to ban me from forum...

All I ever hear is "xxx didn't ask for permission". Did you ask Geoff Crammond for a permission to use his files? Answer! Did you ask for permission?. And everyone knows that Geoff Crammond never really approved of having his game edited. So why do you think you are any better than those you complain about? Answer!

And another thing: I'm not backing up neither of you. You break the rules - you get a warning. You might even get a second warning or even a third. You do it again, you get banned - simple as that. Your signature, for example, is not in compliance with the forum rules where it says it should be banner size. Why do you show disrespect of our rules and then cry for a moderator to help you when someone disrespects you?

To make it clear: You can fight with BB as much as you want - just not in here. If you want to write something "against" him send him a letter.

Excuseme me, our tracks do not use any parts of original game track from gp4.
So i dont need any permissions from Mr Crammond.

Banned for claiming my rights as author??
How you can even say that???
What happened to the moderators of this forum protecting the authors
instead of abusing and threatening them??

Show me where the rules say that, unless you
changed it very recently ...
And for you information i saw people signatures
in this forum that occupies half a page and you
point out to me??? Something is very wrong what here.

This has turned into something too long winded for something that could have been sorted quite easily if you and BB had just talked about it calmly, i respect that you would like to be credited but its one file and to be honest no one really cares that much about the authors, some people might be prone to go towards one author, and thats why they put their names in the thread, its so people have a choice about it. I thinks you should give this "quick rant" of yours a rest as your digging yourself into a deeper hole which at the same time is getting filled with sh*t, im with vader on this, its not illegal its not wrong, and your the only persone who actually cares.

Thats impossible. We both hate each other.
But the difference he does the bad things by hacking, flaming,
steeling etc

I already know i will be banned. Maybe less than 4 hours from now...
But i also know i will be banned for claiming my rights as author of a work that i created.
Even to a child is coherent what im claiming.
But i guess moderators of this forum dont care about author rights. GPG was founded
on really good terms, now look at the site what it has become.

You won't be banned for claiming author rights. You'd be banned for being in constant fights with everybody. As said, in 90% of the arguments in the GP4, you're involved. That can't be coincedence. You'd be banned for making a fuzz about everything. The mods here want a peaceful joyful community and if there's something that hinders them in keeping it like that, they'll get rid of the troublemaker(s). The reason you have been banned in the first place was probably because of your over-reactive attitude and your constant involvement in trouble. If you're banned in the future again, the reason will very likely the same. You claim to be a victim. Guess what, you're not. This thing is just one 'battle' in the long running 'war' between BigBrother and yourself. And frankly, nobody cares.

No, you will be banned for being a tiresome, complaining little troll who doesn't know when to shut the @#$%& up.

Custom created content is not protected by any laws, anywhere. You have no leg to stand on from a legal perspective. Furthermore, the "wrong" you are complaining about is so petty, so insignificant, that (quite rightly) nobody cares. If you get so anal about not being acknowledged in the credits of your own work, there are a few things you could do:-

1) Grow up. I mean, FFS.
2) Stop publishing your work. This would save us all a lot of bother.
3) Do not provide your work free of charge. Charge people to download it (good luck with that).
4) Encode your signature into the work in such a way that it cannot be ignored.

If none of the above options appeal to you, then put up and shut up. I've responded quite civilly to your rant thus far but enough is enough. You're making the biggest mountain out of a molehill that I have ever known.
